Toxic 350Z Forums!
Well, over a year ago, I was young, huge fan of Z's and wanted to buy a 350Z so i went on the forums to discuss financial questions. They completely shut down 16 year old me, called me stupid, too young and an idiot and wished car accidents upon me. It is now 2016, I am 18 years old and I am a proud owner of a 370Z! I decided to be petty because they deserved it and bump that thread from such a long time ago telling them my new purchase and you guys might want to take a look at their replies.. Lol. I am thankful for the Z34 community, decent people. MY PARENTS DID NOT BUY THE CAR FOR ME, I SOLD MY OLD CAR, SAVED UP, WORKED HARD AND PURCHASED IT. Some people on those forums were quick to call me spoiled so I had to throw that in there.
Up and coming owner of a 350Z.. Hopefully. - Page 4 - MY350Z.COM Forums |

What a circus in that 350z forum. This is definitely not that kind of forum. You will find mature, respectful members in here.

I don't know... I went and read through the 350z forum posts and I don't think you would have gotten any different advice here. If you look past the crass words, you'll see they're giving, otherwise, sound advice. Something many of us on this forum have advised younger drivers. Of course, being young and stupid, they never listen but that's their prerogative.
They didn't wish you to crash until you went back like a little cun7 and said, "**** you". Honestly, you showed how immature you really are with that one action. Not saying their response is justified, just pointing out that you probably can't even see that you lack impulse control. And I'm not saying you're going to go and wreck your car nor do I wish you to, but your attitude screams "entitled" and "defensive". If you go back and read a couple of your old posts you might see what I'm saying. A quick example is having your mate ride in the boot of the car and when Kenchan commented your response was "can't I have some fun?" (entitled) and "it was a last resort" (defensive). Sure, have some fun. It's always fun when no one gets hurt and you don't get caught. But the moment you see sirens, or you do get in an accident, even if it's not your fault. You're going to feel really stupid when your buddy gets hurt over doing something as petty as joy riding in the back. Did I do that when I was a kid? Sure. Would I do it now? No, because I'm older and know that the superfluous fun that we have doing that is no longer worth the possibility of injury. Just my two cents.

Welcome aboard. Congrats on your Z. Lots to be said when you work hard for the things you like. I myself appreciate it more. Great and helpful people here (many funny ones too) AND have a few who got their share of claim to flame because of the silly things they said. What ever you do don't go ask about which oil, AT vs. MT, or talk about or support street racing.

I stumbled on that place by accident when I was searching on wheel spacers. They actually have a thread about how the 370z sucks and Nissan made a mistake by making it. I think that I lost 20 IQ points just by reading some of the replies within that thread.

I've been a member of Z forums for---quite a few years.
Incl the one I believe the OP is mentioning. What I have observed,forums/boards evolve. Years ago THAT forum flammed every newbie, person asking any question before searching(not a bad idea). There were 3-4 members that dominated. Unless you:lowered, bought %$#@ wheels you were a chump... Don't know if its the same now. Why should we care. |
