As of April 2010, all NY registered vehicles(cars, motorcycles, atv's,etc) will be required to pay $25 for the newly designed New York license plate and $20 to keep their existing plate number on top of the $25 charge. New York Unveils Empire Gold License Plate Luckily today Paterson announced he may nix the new plates because of public outcry. But no official documentation has been written up. Paterson nixes new license plate plan - The Business Review (Albany):
