Student debt is far greater than what you're saying. Go to college, and pay it off over time. But not for 30+ years. The UK has a limit of 10 years before the debt is forgiven. And college 20 years ago cost peanuts while granting anyone graduating a high paying nice job. Todays costs of college are inflated to the point of worthlessness, the degree means literally nothing, and companies don't want to pay or train anyone. I'm not saying my generation should be given free college, but it can be reduced in price. I shouldn't have been paying $600+ per college book. A fancy piece of paper shouldn't cost tens of thousands of dollars. And don't you dare tell me for a second that everyone knows right at 18 what they want to do in life. But hey, we were forcefed bullshyt from our parents constantly pushing college because we'd be screwed without a degree. We are screwed either way right now. The college kids just have debt alongside a low paying job. And nope, I didn't read the fine print. I honestly believe what my dad and many others told me. "Go to college, get a degree, and you'll get a nice job." I don't have some useless degree either. Computer security and information alongside several certifications has proven I did the hard work and have the experience. But when cost of living and student loans are higher than the current rate of pay, the system is fundamentally broken. So please, tell me where to get a bachelors degree for under $30,000 because a degree is most definitely needed in today world. And then tell me where to get a job that pays well enough to support myself and pay off the loans in under 20 years.

And Mr. OnZ. please don't take my responses as being spiteful, malicious, etc. I'm just standing by my own reasoning as seeing it from a 26 yr olds view. I'm truly blessed and thankful in many ways for what I have compared to others. I'm thankful for you guys always being around.
At the end of the day, I just want my damn cheap taco hell, a spirited drive in my Z, some sexy time with the girlfriend, and a nice long nap. My loans aren't going anywhere. So why should I rush? hahahaha
