Any Dreamologists on here?

I realize with as many members as this forum has, probably there may be a few on here that just may know something about dreams and the reasons behind them.

My wife left yesterday for a week, and I’m all by myself with the dog for 7 days or so until her return. Because of this I’m a bit disrupted, but I’ll probably survive….

And I hate to share personal stuff like this, but uh, er... oh well, what the heck.... I know you guys dont judge.

So here it is, I had a crazy dream..... and I need help analyzing what it all means.....

You know how you have dreams right before you wake up, and you don’t know if you are awake or if it’s a dream… Yup, well it happened to me just now.

Right before I woke up , I dreamt that an old girlfriend came over to visit and I let her in the door. As she came in, I noticed that she had a wooden leg. She stayed for only a short while and then left. After she was gone, I noticed termites crawling on the couch where she had sat. Nothing happened between her and I, but I did panic about how I was going to get rid of these termites before my wife got back home…..

That’s it, not much of a story, but that’s the way dreams are sometimes… but as this was kind of weird, can anybody tell me what this sort of strange dream actually meant.?

Damn... Just woke up. Had almost the same dream again. This time she wanted me to rub varnish on her...

I aint sleepng guys, I gotta get this thing figured out...

scenario #1 Your dreaming of giving her the wood (hence the leg) and she gives you crabs (hence the termites)
scenario #2 You have suddenly got a fetish for pirates with poor peg-leg hygiene
scenario #3 You know your wife is going to be away for a week, and you have to punch the clown for a week. Refer back to #2

Hmmm, its funny how ones subconscious works, so some of these might be a possibility.

Not so sure about your #3 and the clown comnent though, as the last time I was at the circus was when I was only about 12 and it was outdoors in a big tent

LOL, thats funny... And I think quite true. My cousin Bobby used to be on those patches and said they were kinda working for him, but eventually he couldn't afford them anymore... So I told him to look on eBay for some cheaper ones. He finds some guy in China selling Nicoret "suppositories". Well he orders a case of them before I could explain that these weren't exactly in the traditional patch form....

Poor old Bobby jabbed about 5 or 6 up there first night before he fell asleep. He said in addition to being pretty sore the next day, his arse smelled like a pack of Marlboro Reds everytime he bent over for about two weeks...

Me and my buddies really teased him. He finally wound up throwing about half a case of them little brown pills in the trash. (Only good thing is that he kept the free pair of chopsticks that came with them).

Another thing, don't sleep on your left side. It is known to give you weird dreams or nightmares. I actually had this happen a few times, and sometimes the weird dreams weren't even scary or anything like that. However, they left me with a sense of depression and hopelessness.

I've never heard this "left side" theory, interesting.

Unfortunately, I do sleep on my left side, but I dont really have a choice ever since the incident that happened when I was 8 years old...

Still having these bad dreams... Last night's was where she wanted to show me a new splinter in her damned old wooden leg again....

I am still not sleeping because of these episodes in the night.... I guess I need some meds or something...

My wife is a Psychologist and has read/interpreted dreams for a few friends of mine . I'll run it by her and see what she comes up with.

I have worked with crazys. I have 3 siblings with who are LPC. We think you just need some "action" since your wife is away. I mean you are having "wood" in your sleep and probably Wood when you wake up. Although waking up with wood has no significant correlation with wanting or needing some. It's just a natural thing for males. Guys with ED wake up with wood but can't make wood when then time comes..

It is known to give you weird dreams or nightmares. I actually had this happen a few times, and sometimes the weird dreams weren't even scary or anything like that.
