I think i'm going to be filling my z up with cheap gas here in california, then using the money I saved up for a nice sanswich

You are free to do what you want, but if you spent $30K+ on a car, is an extra couple bucks per tank rally a big deal?

The ecu will retard the ignition to avoid engine knock but performance will suffer.
