yah, ive been pricing out a few cheaper cars i might be interested in replacing my fit for. wat do you all think about the new miata? ive never owned a vert and thought it might be something id like to keep for a while?

id do the club with the brembo/bbs package and basically drive it stock, maybe change tires to RE11's down the road. price is about $32K

will run my G as dd until she falls apart (another 4-5yrs?). she's at 35k miles right now so I'm thinking she isn't too old yet.

or going back to the BRZ idea... about $28K for limited, but will need mods to make it mine. will drive the G and BRZ as dd..

my requirement is light weight, RWD, MT..

Miata's haven't changed besides the body styles. I'd go used. A Mazda 3 would perform just as well at the Miata also. I'm personally not a fan since you really have to flog them to pick up any "fun" speeds.

Same with the BRZ. Fun cars, but why not just get a FR-S? Cheaper with 99% identical stuff throughout. You're just paying for the subbie badge.

Why not a Fiesta or Focus ST? Hell, just wait for the Focus RS. For an extra 4k, it'll kill all of your cars compared to what you'd get out of the Miata.

That's what I'm sayin. I reallllllllly like the New Focus RS. It is more family friendly than the Z plus I can still have fun with it on the weekends. But I don't want another car payment now. Maybe once my wife's car is payed off.

actually the new miata is lighter than the original miata despite the bump in power and safety equipment. true that it takes effort to get these going, but i think that's part of the fun maybe? still does 0-60 under 6sec though..if S2k's were still sold that would be my #1 choice, but since they arent..

yah, BRZ limited's interior was nicer than the scions so that was why i suggested the BRZ. always wanted to try one for kicks.. but the hassle of modding them is kinda they look so cheap and ugly in stock form.

and yah, my requirement is that it is RWD, maybe AWD, but the only AWD i'd consider at this point would be a subi. and i dont like the current wrx/sti's shape.
