I guess they hold their value. You may be better selling yours and buying a new one. An "upgrade" could cost $250 but it's basically a brand new device.

I don't even think it's the guts. The units internals change a lot while the outside casing remains the same so they usually just ship out brand new ones.

Or at least that's what i believe happens according to my Vette brothers on another forum.

ahh, gotcha. so basically i just get a brand new unit and trading in the old + $

makes sense. i suppose if i get a new serial number then this is true.

well the good news is that my ankle hasn't popped or clicked anymore while clutching..i just cant turn my toes towards the right without sharp pain.
