Got back in touch with panasonic. They offered me a loyalty program for a discount on a current model tv. Not sure how much the discount is, but what do you guys think? TV they offered is normally $1,500. So it better be a damn good discount. That's more then I paid for mine originally.

What the hell does the loyalty program do for you? Sounds like they're just trying to get you to buy another one of their shitty TVs at a discount (still at a profit for them of course).

I'm not a big fan of Panasonic home theater equipment. I like Pioneer, Sony, and Samsung for components. That's just based on my personal experience :twocents:

Lein ditch the tv and watch everything on your computer. Problem solved :icon17:

Go with Samsung.

The model we bought in April is now at $1200. Curved 55" UHDTV with all that smart crap that no one wants. It's rather difficult to find a TV now that doesn't have all of the "smart" features though.

That's exactly the point. They can entertain me an offer and then I'll raise hell a little more out of spitefulness and nothing better to do. Then i'll go buy a Vizio or Samung and take a photo of it. I'll bomb panashits fb with how much better this new model is.

Asus ROG Swift already on my computer. phenominal monitor! But I like to lay in bed at night with Netflix and prefer big screens for console gaming.

On a side note, I randomly was digging through reddit. I have tinnitus in my ears so I have a constant high pitched ringing. I never really notice it unless under extreme circumnstances. I've never heard anything different wise.

Anyways, on reddit. Someone posted a quick thing you can do with your hands over your ears to reduce the ringing. I did it and I literally heard nothing ringing!!! It slowly comes back after 10-15 minutes, but WOW! Is that how normal people hear?!?!?1

I just had to laugh at that ...

Seriously though. Most everybody on this site has it far better than say, the people in Syria fleeing the war. It helps to put things in perspective. Sure it seems to suck now, but, like others have said, we have much that others do not. We are currently the fortunate. I count my blessings every day. Keeps me humble.
