So that volt meter I bought.... it died. Other maintenance guy who's a certified electrician was showing me how to use it. 200 volt rating on the thing and he shoves the prongs into an extension cord outlet. The wires on the meter fried instantly and detached from the prongs....

We tried a Fluke meter afterwards and he showed me what it was suppose to do.

dat sucks mang. i have that same cheepo meter in my field toolbox and it's been flawless. i'd get an exchange through amazon.
