One of the guys I work with went to fix a tv in a patient room and the patient was about 90 yrs old. He went to cut a wire out of the loom and missed and got the power wire. A big old fireball shot out from all sides of the tv and the little old lady started screaming "oh my, oh my" over and over and clutched her chest. He starts to panic thinking he just killed this old lady with a heart attack. Flies out of the room and calls the nurse and doctor to the room who bring a crash cart and the whole nine yards. The lady was just fine and was just surprised at the gigantic fireball lol :rofl2: :rofl2:

 Hope nothing serious happened!

I didn't bother to replace the clutch with 50K miles when I installed the Z1 CSCEK. But I also didn't pay for labor :) cause I DIY :ugh:

The 5th and 6th gear synchros are going out, so I'm planning to replace the transmission under warranty at some point (100K mile warranty - currently at 70K miles). I bought EW's gaseous clutch and pressure plates with 8K miles on them to install when I have the transmission replaced

Dropped the truck off at home and took the Z to the Doctor office (The issue turned out to be power cord was unlugged ) It was high 40's this morning and boy did she run good. Tires were a bit greasy but a tiny bit of tail movement around corners isnt all bad

Yeah, I just figured a lot of people don't DIY that stuff
If not DIYing, why pay the labor twice.

There's a reason for that lol

I certainly don't plan to do it again. Not without a lift at least :icon17:

But absolutely. If I had been paying for it, I would have probably just upgraded to a street South Bend setup with the lightest flywheel possible from Joe at ZSpeed. As it is, I will just buy the lightweight flywheel and pair it to EW's clutch

If you do the slave, absolutely do the master.

My slave was fine when I replaced it with the Z1 kit. I did the work as preventative maintenance when my master went out for the second time. It's now failed three times in less than 70K miles :wtf:
