The 5th and 6th gear synchros are going out, so I'm planning to replace the transmission under warranty at some point (100K mile warranty - currently at 70K miles). I bought EW's gaseous clutch and pressure plates with 8K miles on them to install when I have the transmission replaced  |
Dropped the truck off at home and took the Z to the Doctor office (The issue turned out to be power cord was unlugged ) It was high 40's this morning and boy did she run good. Tires were a bit greasy but a tiny bit of tail movement around corners isnt all bad

If not DIYing, why pay the labor twice. |

I certainly don't plan to do it again. Not without a lift at least :icon17: But absolutely. If I had been paying for it, I would have probably just upgraded to a street South Bend setup with the lightest flywheel possible from Joe at ZSpeed. As it is, I will just buy the lightweight flywheel and pair it to EW's clutch  |

My slave was fine when I replaced it with the Z1 kit. I did the work as preventative maintenance when my master went out for the second time. It's now failed three times in less than 70K miles :wtf: |
