Brand doesn't really matter for me. It's all about the thickness of the sole. I have a harder time hitting that sweet spot on the pedals with thicker-soled shoes (probably because I'm used to thin-soled shoes).

Puma and my Keen sandals. The Keen's actually provide for really good feel and you can walk in them all day long LOL.

...one thing's for sures, at least for me, NEVER, EVER an open heel sandal, with a manual tranny, esp.
|
I also have these. Puma Future Cat. Always buy half a size larger with Pumas.

i can't do the nike free runs, i always feel like i'm going to roll my ankle walking in those lol

I prefer barefoot. Mainly because I haven't found any decent driving shoes that I can try on to make sure they fit (it's hard to find 12EE).
|
What ever I have on which is New Balance or Timberlands. I can drive in anything, just not steel toe boots. They suck.
