Speaking of the $15/hr fast food pay, there is a plus to it for me. The wife and I are trying to eat healthier and not so much fast food. Since the workers pay goes up, the price of the food goes up as well, making it even more overpriced for shitty food and ,thus, easier to refuse

I spent some time in 2 different cold storage warehouses today. One was quite large. Imagine a 250,000 square foot warehouse that has a more than 200,000 pallet capacity (30' tall ceilings) that is kept at a constant -30 degrees F. They also have blast freezers that go to -55 degrees F.

That's a big freezer! The power consumption must be out of this world. I would love to see the facility, and the process/automation.

We have slightly more than 10 million sq/ft of factory floor, ceiling height varies, with the average being 30'. Our Stamping plant has an 80' ceiling. On site, we have our own water treatment facility, and generate a portion of our own power mostly to operate large synchronous generators. We'll burn coal or gas depending on price that week.

You should see the size of the place and its equipment. They use a massive amount of ammonia also. No photos were allowed...

Goodness what type of goods do they keep in there?

They store frozen foods of all kinds. My client is a chicken processor and they use a very small portion of the facility's capacity. Here is some perspective: my client keeps an average of 3,000,000 pounds of frozen chicken parts (bagged then cased) here and this is a tiny percent of what that warehouse holds.
