Not good... Wife's Camry has at least a few inches of water in the footwells, and the remote unlock doesn't work.

The remote unlock didn't work on my DD either, and then I went inside to open the garage door to check the Z and at that time.. The alarm started going off on the DD (Z is dry inside) and I could not get it to turn off. Turn signals flashing & all kinds of BS, had to disconnect the battery and lock the doors manually.

Looks like I'll be working from home tomorrow and calling my insurance agent/getting a tow to the dealership etc. :shakes head:

Guys...

Serious post here..

We had some rather ridiculous "localized flooding" that had water pouring into our basement (sump pump took care of that) but it seems our vehicles may not have been so lucky.

The black car is my DD, up to the bumper

The Z was up to the rockers. I think it's OK?

My wife's car... Eech... That's the silver Camry. Note: It's not actually upside down in real life, so it's not quite as bad as it seems from the picture. But the water level is accurate.

What would you do? I think it's highly likely the Camry is/would be totaled. I'm not sure about my DD and of course the Z apparently didn't even get damp rockers (I only took the picture to reassure myself).

The cars should be drying out in the next hour or so, the water level has gone down significantly.

 holy dogdamn!! dat sucks. :( if it's flooded probably best to be totalled so you get a new car.
hope ur insurance takes care of you tomorrow. sorry to see.

Good morning everyone.

Check your lists!!!

Leingod 07-27-2015 06:40 AM

Morning everyone.

So sorry to see that about your cars Davey. Wishing all the best to get your cars back up or totalled so you can get another Z.

eastwest2300 07-27-2015 06:48 AM

reps out!

Davey 07-27-2015 06:48 AM

I think the Z is fine. The interior is dry and the water didn't get above the rockers that I can see.

My wife's car has to be ******, though, and likely my DD is, too. Not sure what it takes to total a 1 year old car but I would think water up to the airbox would do it.

I owe masterbeatty and zoren reps...
