T-Pain and Akon

Is it just me have these two artist really steeped up and shown us a new side of what they can do. You have Akon with his great album Freedom that is just great and than you have T-Pain working with people like Jessie McCartney and making great music of his own. I see them as really doing great. The way I see it as finally some fresh music in the world. Just my opinion. :happydance:

Are you that musically deprived? I will never forgive T-Pain for cursing the music world with autotune and Akon for his shitty bubblegum pop rap. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but I just can't believe someone over the age of 14 would consider them great. Oh and how does working with Jessie McCartney add to his goodness?

No offense to your personal taste, but T-pain and Akon are by-products of over produced cogs that mtv churns out. The music is mediocre, repetitive, and recycled. I do not appreciate anything either have done and their music is absolutely trendy and horrible, not to mention it insults real musicians when those two are referred to as artists.

I like that you can autotune anything and its an instant hit

Singers/rappers nowadays kinda suck, no offense. Back in the day, there were more talented people but it seems like they're all dead or something. Take Tupac for example, only rap I would ever listen to because it's not about some bs like tapping some girl's ***.

This is why I stick to trance.

There are definitely talented hip-hop artists out there, just not quite active(or popular) in the mainstream scene. I'm pretty sure the people are hungry for quality music but they never quite reach the masses. Why? Major record label are quite skeptical to invest and somewhat gamble with a "lyrically conscious" artist when they can just push another "snap yo fangas!1!" artist out to MTV that is guaranteed to bring in millions. :/

That's true. *Sigh* What on earth happened to the music industry?! When I see singers performing live, they can't even sing. It doesn't even sound like them. Which reminds me of Flo Rida or whatever the hell his name is. He was mumbling the entire time, LOL.

I agree but I see akon as not being like that. Rap is slowly dying weather people want to believe it or not. I see him changing with he times. His album freedom is on the top of my list even with over 200 cd's. T-pain still needs to chill a bit but still when doing songs with Jessie Mcartney and all he will get there. I agree that rap is junk MOST OF IT. I love quality music from Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Journey, Eagles and so on but I have a huge open mind when it comes to music.

Hey dont forget T-Pain F*cked a Mermaid!!! How many of you can say that?!?! :rofl2:
