I'm seriously starting to worry about how I'm going to get my shift knob off without ruining the stock one.

I also need to figure out via the DIY section where to grip the lower part of the shifter so I don't screw up the rubber stuff underneath it.

Good luck. I broke two wrenches and then said screw it and got out the big wrench with teeth lol

I plan on using my giant plumbers wrench for the knob and a robo-grip or something locking to hold onto the shaft. I'll just wrap everything in a few thick MF towels. I've read and seen to many people breaking quality strap wrenches for what should be a 5 minute process
