All aerodynamics. Flugplatz is essentially a big jump. It's very easy to get air under the nose and cars go up and over. Blowovers like that are not uncommon in GT/Prototype racing when the conditions are right.

Unfortunately one spectator was killed.

That's crazy. There doesn't seem to be much of safety barrier their. Why you'd stand near an apex of a turn makes you wonder what the heck people were thinking. Flugplatz translates to "airfield" in German for Christ sake.
