Wanted to know any members here who DJ for fun/career/sidejobs/Forthemusic
Genre? and why? Thought I share what I do after a stressful day at work I used mix until I feel better :tup::happydance:

I did years ago....for about 10 years on the side. Mainly weddings, and the like, but did quite a spell in the bars/clubs. I miss those days.

I used to spin at weddings, events, clubs and private parties. Had an absolute blast but I stopped to make room for my career as an HVAC a tech. Also, I got sick of not having any privacy, as the "fans" get a little too crazy sometimes. I still have all the gear set up :)

I use to spin wax. I only do EDM. it has been a while since I really spin any but a few hours is all it takes c to get decent again. I can't beat match like I did years ago, but I can still do it really well. I still have my set from 14 years ago. The only difference is that I no longer run Nightclub S. I run cheaper ones now since I hardly use them. The other thing is I use a Rane Empath and not a Vastec anymore.

EWW!!! HVAC SUCKS!!! lol.. :p I'm Type III Univeral cerified. :rofl2:I don't know jack about the tech side of HVAC. I only did installs and got out of the field before anyone gave me a chance to learn how to trouble shoot HVAC problems.

I don't miss it though. Humping high sear units, boilers, crawspaces inferno attics are in the past. Now I give drugs, clean poop, pee and bath people all day.

I started spinning in 1990 at a bar, then worked in clubs and spun at several Raves, did it for 6-7 years before moving on. I also use to compose tracks using Rebirth, Reason, Sound Forge, Fruity Loops, and some other programs

Reason is good but so dang hard. My cousin was all into producing. He had beat maker, mc909 and all that. I just like to spin.
