Too much... Gas is going up and it won't go down to the levels we have had. They are hell bent on the $5 a gal gas as a norm.

The 35 mpg is a corporate average, so I doubt anything revolutionary will come out anytime soon. It's 2011, our cars should have been flying by now powered by compact cold fusion reactors.

For $3.29 you can drive an electric car 96 miles.

ehh i would much rather have gas be around 4.50 a gallon - it would make for MUCH less cars on the road and a much happier commute for me.
A dollar a gallon is a small price to pay for living in cali... i mean we pay WAY more for rent / property value but i dont see people complaining about that - why? its cali...

Like I said on the other post, buy a 15 year old Honda Civic for $1000 and get 30+mpg. Ten years ago, I had a girlfriend that bought such a car, and it was more reliable than most new cars and cost less to run than a good bicycle. And WHEN (NOT IF) the cost of gas hits $6 gallon, you do not go bankrupt. |
