^^ Truth.

I just paid $1.38/L (~$5.22/Gal) for 94 octane. That was before the price went up. :icon14:

Gas here went up 20 cents a gallon over night, there isn't really a choice but to tolerate it. I just pull up to the gas station and say "gotta pay to play"

DIGItonium 05-20-2013 10:02 AM

Gas is pretty high where I'm at. I've been filling up at non-Ethanol stations, and the recent fill up was $4.49/gal.

I'm out in Northern Ohio (about 40mins south of Cleveland) every week for work and gas prices here are CHEAP!! I think I filled up my rental last Thursday for $3.69 for 87. Back at home 87 is $4.25 or more.

37ZERO 05-21-2013 05:47 AM

You guys have it good, our premium over here is about 6.40!

It's the price to pay for non-ethanol gasoline. It's currently an experiment. My car went from 21.4-21.7 to 22.04 MPG. The last fill was 20 MPG, but that's because my cousin was in town and there were lots of hard turbo pulls (still pretty darn good after a week of driving).

jlo370z 05-21-2013 09:52 PM

So it's 4.60 gallon in Chicago this morning. It's 3.66 a gallon in peachtree Georgia tonight. Love Illinois and there taxes NOT

I just paid $3.79 for premium yesterday. There was a refinery closed around here for maintenance a couple of weeks ago, so gas in Minnesota and Iowa was up at $4.29 for awhile. Came back down as fast as it went up. Weird.

Here, non-oxygenated (no ethanol) premium is available at only a very few stations and it's technically illegal to use it in anything other than boats, off-highway vehicles, or collector cars. I have a 250 gallon tank that I use for boats and have it filled with the non-oxygenated premium a couple of times a year but I see no reason whatsoever to bother with ethanol-free gasoline for any of my cars, Z included.

Jimc 06-23-2013 09:46 AM

Here is a tip

In NJ 93 at Sunoco was cash 3.79 yesterday. Sunoco has a credit card offer that take an additional .05 cents off a gallon. Compare that with the typical .10 cent a gallon up charge for Credit Cards and it's not a bad deal.

Regards,
Jim
