I've honestly stopped paying attention the the price of gas, it only stresses me out and there's nothing you can do about it anyway. Also, I started reasoning to myself that if I go somewhere that is 5¢ cheaper than another place, if I fill up 20 gallons every week (it's actually more like15-16 gallons almost every other week) that's only $50 extra a year I'm saving. Not really worth it to me. I only use Mobil gas anyway because they have some of the best quality gas+additives.

That being said, I thinkit was around $4.15 last week for 93 octane at Mobil.

Paying $8.90 per gallon in Belgium! Units converted from liters and Euro

theboydiddy 04-08-2012 08:28 PM

I don't know what "premium" means only because some places "premium" be the middle gas and the most expensive gas "93" be "super" or "ultra" some places. However "93" the most expensive gasoline here today I paid $4.55, $4.65 (credit/debit card) for it. I try not to worry about gas price really. Let's be honest if we all were concerned about it we would all had bought hybrid cars or something. Gas price rising hasn't just started, it has been a problem for a few years now. Also what I try to do is to fill up my tank every time I have half of tank. Just so I don't have to spend $70 cash at the gas station

ShinyBlueZ 04-08-2012 11:00 PM

UNKNOWN_370 04-09-2012 11:46 AM

$4.09 a gallon for my Z @ Shell. But I have to shop around for $4.09 cuz the average price at most shells right now is $4.24. Luckily I know which stations compete with QT and racetrack.

my altima gets 26mpg combined. My Z gets 19mpg combined now that I'm running royal purple. I gained 2mpg from nissan ester.

Is 91 octane a problem for this engine? Seems to be what I find a majority of the time.

I use Shell V-Power usually, which is 91 octane.. and I haven't had any problems at all. What do you find is happening the majority of the time?

the density of the air at different altitudes means you find different levels of octane in different parts of the country... lower octanes are typically found in higher elevations

If you find yourself driving through regions with higher octane gas, I would just go ahead and use the highest available at the pump.

Zenki370 05-04-2012 06:27 PM

Is too much an answer? 4.39ish I believe. Ive been pumping premium in whatever car Ive had since I got my license... so to be honest, I dont even look anymore. You need it you get it, theyve got us.

kfull 05-04-2012 06:54 PM

4.11 Hess. Are there any big differences between gas suppliers or is 93 pretty much the same wherever you get it?

MacLean 05-04-2012 07:04 PM

Shell 4.06 for 91 octane........ We can thank Obama for having the gas prices the way they are. There use to be a $.10 gap b/w each of the three levels. Now it is a $.20 gap b/w each of the three levels, but it has been like this probably since '09.

Well it sure as hell isn't great. I would really love for gas to go back to what it was in '98-'99. I remember it was like $1.25 for premium & that would be effen awesome, but that is not going to effen happen.

4.50 from cheveron

dennis26 05-04-2012 08:24 PM
