Just hit $4.09. This is getting crazy.

joseZhartford 03-04-2011 09:29 PM

4.19 in east hartford connecticut , its ridiculous time to buy a used civic or corolla for a daily driver

dad 03-04-2011 09:48 PM

$4.09 today for 91.

onzedge 03-04-2011 11:55 PM

My favorite Chevron went to 4.09 for 91 today -- an $.18 increase since Tuesday.

I am going to start driving in the gas station backwards -- might as well save some time...

dwntwnall4u 03-05-2011 07:08 PM

$4.08 for 91 @ Shell in San Diego. I may have to buy that Lexus ct200h I was looking at today if these prices keep going up.

b1adesofcha0s 03-05-2011 07:11 PM

$3.57 here at Sam's Club in MD.

PapoZalsa 03-05-2011 07:55 PM

$3.46 Premium @ Sam's Today.

autopc25 03-05-2011 08:09 PM

Chicago has the highest price for gas this week. I saw $4.29 a gallon this morning. Average for premium is around $4.19 lately.

98intrigue 03-05-2011 09:08 PM

Dubai must have cheap gas - either that or the exchange rate for USD is good which has to be one of the few countries right now that would be the case for. :)

Just filled up at Chevron - paid $3.86 for 93 Octane.

docaam 03-06-2011 10:38 AM

its cheap in Dubai 95 is 0.43$ and 98 is 0.5 a litre. We have a fixed exchanged rate versus US$

And sorry that was a type as I thought US gallon is 4 litres but its 3.78l so a gallon is 1.6$, 93 is slightly more cheaper

That's still really good compared to prices here. Dubai sounds fun, I would love to visit it someday. My cousin lives there, so maybe I will go to visit him sometime :)

Waiz 03-06-2011 01:38 PM

Not cool, it keeps going up!

Damn you Kadafi!

Jamaica 03-06-2011 01:44 PM

Anaheim hills 4.19

IMWEZL 03-07-2011 05:29 AM

^ Damn, out here in Korea on American bases it's $3.69 for 98octane.

98intrigue 03-07-2011 01:40 PM

I paid $3.79 last week. That's 3 tanks of gas in 2 weeks...I need to stop driving so much!

Nismoracer 03-07-2011 07:08 PM

$3.69 now. Sam's Club. $3.79 everywhere else. One thing that got me and pretty sneeky of them to do this but at shell if you use your credit card or debit or any card it's 10 cents more per gallon. They have no signs anywhere saying it costs more if you use your credit card. And it was just blind luck that I even saw it. I was thinking wait a min shouldn't I have gotten a little more gas for that amount of money. Sure enough, I went and told the attendant hey this meter charged me more than the pump price and then they hit me and said it's more if you use your card. Uh don't you think you should put some signs up saying that. :shakes head:

Cunnos 03-08-2011 02:24 PM

Just a quick lil news update, all the major financial firms have increased their exposure to oil, forecasting 2008 oil prices or above per barrel. Basically, we are all screwed and will most likely see 2008 gas prices or worse. Here is the article

Analysts expect oil to top 2008 levels | Reuters

CCastro 03-08-2011 02:57 PM

4.15/gallon in San Bruno,CA

JARblue 03-08-2011 03:24 PM

Just filled up at $3.79 for 93 in ATX.

Nismoracer, that kind of business practice is illegal. If they are truly doing as you say without notice, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau immediately (United States and Canada BBB Consumer and Business Reviews, Reports, Ratings, Complaints and Accredited Business Listings).

christian370z 03-08-2011 04:52 PM

$4.19 for 91 in Malibu CA. That is still way off my record: when gas prices peaked in '08, I remember one time filling my Saab up with 93 that cost $6.71 a gallon lol.

srbrubak 03-08-2011 06:34 PM

Gas just went up here in CR ioway. Filled up today and payed $3.65 a gal for 91.

PapoZalsa 03-08-2011 07:23 PM

I don't know if that's legal or not, but the station is doing that to offset the cost of paying the major credit card companies their fees. They typically spend thousands of dollars a month paying for fees so you can use those cards at the station.

They don't do that here in MN. You might want to check with your Attorney General website and see if that's an issue.

hdskull 03-08-2011 08:33 PM

Red__Zed 03-19-2011 02:13 PM

$3.59 today...

wdkwang 03-19-2011 05:58 PM

$3.97 for 93 at the cheapest local Mobil here.

I saw an article that basically states that even though gas is ridiculously high, a .50 cent per gallon for an entire year would be a marginal for most drivers. Depending on how much you drive, it's a $175-400 difference, if let's say you were to fill up at $3.50/gallon for a year compared to $4.00/gallon.

Regardless, it's still f0kin expensive. I'm getting 16-18mpg. I dunno about you guys

joseZhartford 03-20-2011 05:40 AM

$3.99 last nite at shell for 93 premium . Paid $71.49 for a full tank .. ridiculous

pL4tiNumfi5t 03-20-2011 04:14 PM

nuTinmuch 03-20-2011 04:16 PM
