Advice vs Advise is another one I've been seeing lately
Advice is a noun. You give someone advice. Pronounced ice as in mice. Advise is a verb. You advise someone. Pronounced ise as in wise.

Bump for comparative vs superlative adjectives
better or worse - comparing two things best or worst - comparing three or more things

Cue up 100% in the Bitch by Porter Robinson for this one!
Okay, fuckers. Welcome back to class. Grab a fuckin' chair. Shut up and listen. This is gonna be a quick lesson. Part of the rant today involves shortening words for absolutely no ******* reason except to piss me the **** off. First item up for action involves the word "probably." PROBABLY. PRO-BA-BLY. Really. Fuckin'. Tough. To spell. Must be why those dumbshits feel the need to spell it like this: "Prolly." What the **** is prolly? That contains consonants that the original word doesn't even have. And it has only been shortened by two letters. Good job, dipshits! And people wonder why employers want to review their candidate's Facebook page! If I were a hiring manager, I'd hire the dumb **** that used that half-assed version of the word just for the distinct pleasure of kicking that little bitch's *** to the curb for being a moron. This shouldn't even be up for debate. Just spell the goddamn word out like it is supposed to be and stop making yourself look stupid. Second item up for action: Proof-reading. Would it ******* kill anyone out there that spends 36 hours a ******* day glued to their cell phone to go back and look over what they wrote to make sure everyone they are trying to get a message to can read their shitty, bleeding-heart sob story about having the sniffles during flu season while they stand in the middle of a ******* highway in protest over god only knows what?! (Believe it or not, that was not a run-on sentence!) Get a ******* job. Get a ******* life. Learn how to ******* spell and put together sentences that make just one iota of sense. And when the grammar police come around bitching because you are a ******* idiot, don't cry and complain because you chose to be an ignorant ***. Class dismissed. I've used 'prolly' when texting. It might be only 2 letters shorter but it is much quicker when using swipe
Proof-reading is going the way of the dodo, unfortunately. I had an employee get upset because the software I use to write reports does not spellcheck. Tough $hit; learn to spell

PS: From what I've seen, most people on The Intertubes have pretty good spelling/grammar/usage skills. But the offenders really stand out. *I don't remember ever typing a word into Google and not being close enough that Google wouldn't respond with "Did you mean <correct spelling>?"

The software I use has forced me to proofread exactly for this reason. I have to be extra careful because if I go too fast I read it back to myself correctly even if two letters are transposed.
