Default From STI/Evo world to 370Z!

Hey all, realized I never made one of these. Like the title said, came from the AWD world. Had a 350ishWHP STI for a long time, upgraded to an EVO X which was stolen so I decided to change it up.

I picked this 11 Sport up from a forum member with only 14xxx miles on it in perfect shape and already added a Fast Intentions CBE (epic) with test pipes going on this week. I also have a Shine Auto front lip, swift lowering springs, and 25mm spacers for all 4 corners going on soon.

Any who, I LOVE this car and can see myself keeping it for a really long time. Photos!

Congrats. I've been thinking of getting an STI hatchback to accomodate for the baby seat. Any thoughts or concerns regarding STi?

New STI's are still using the same 10 year old turbo EJ 2.5L engines and I wouldn't call them completely unreliable but they do have a reputation from all the cracked ringland issues among other things.

If you tune it correctly and take care of it there's nothing to worry about. My STI had a full exhaust/intake/fuel system etc for 50K miles of hard driving with no issues.

I'm probably going to get my wife an STI hatch, since it's by far the best performance/size/value for the money and it can be beat on for years as long as it's set up correctly.

The biggest thing is research your tuner extensively, not everyone can tune an STI and have it last.

Also find out if your Subaru dealership is mod friendly. Subaru can tell if the ECU has been messed with even if you put it back to stock. There's no dought the STI needs a tune bad but if your tuner screws it up your gonna be in a bad spot.

Welcome! Car is looking clean!!!

I started off in the AWD world ( 95 Eclipse GSX), moved to the FWD world (04 SRT-4), and I'm now in the RWD world with my 2012 370.

Congrats on the change and welcome. I drove a '13 STI before I bought the Z. I was really impressed.
