My main concern with the exhaust is...I *AM* a bit older and as much as I want it to sound a little "tougher" (sorry, can't think of the right word) I don't want people looking at me and thinking, gee lady...enough with the mid life crisis already. Someone else mentioned a Borla exhaust me to m and I see a Stillen one a lot also when doing research. I guess I have some work to do. I know he'll put an exhaust on..but I think I might fight to keep the stock wheels..I really like them!?
Don't let what anyone else thinks about you be the determining factor in getting what you want. You got a Z at forty, so what? I got mine at 45 and the first real mod I got was the exhaust because I wanted it to sound like it drives. I love the way it sounds now. After raising three kids its my time to have some fun now!

I got my first compliment today while at Vons...I was at the check out stand and a young kid who was bagging came up to me and said he liked my car..I didnt even realize he must have seen me in the parking lot. He probably watched me trying to figure out if I was locking the doors correctly. It was pretty obvious I am still learning how to work the thing!

Took it for a drive through a nice windy road up to Ojai, California today... Really enjoyed that

Congrats on the Z! 40? Old??? Oh show me the bus to get on to go back to 40!! If my car is a midlife thing I'm going to live a hell of a long time. I look at it like this, can't take it with you when you go, might as well have a big time while you're here. Good luck with the nursing gig, we need more of'em.

since you are in SoCal where the modding scene is huge, i bet you can see in person all the types of exhausts options...... and then decide which to go with

Welcome to the Z family! There is something about this car that makes you want to drive it

Also, i've tested both MT and AT, no probs with the 7AT at all!, its FAST and smooth!! Feels quicker than a MT You should be loving the rev match too

Good for you for the getting the toy YOU wanted. A week after I got my Z my wife also insisted on getting her dream car, a red Xterra. She's loving it.

You have a nice looking Z there, enjoy!

im 18 and i got the AT lol. as for modding id say you have plenty of time. the car is still new and there arent a whole lot of parts out yet. greddy just came out with their systems and ive always liked them. ive also heard it isnt best to mod the car right away before the engine is ready. just have fun and enjoy this great car!

I had to show my husband this I've spent so much time the last week or so on this forum, he gives me such a hard time. I keep telling him, "See...it's not uncool to have this car at my age" You just proved it THANKS!

A nice car has always sort of been "my thing" I don't ask for much..but a nice car is a must for me

And I was sort of waiting for the comment about the pictures because I saw someone else get made fun of for posting not so great pictures! hehe... I even thought, "Gosh..I'm glad they didn't give me a hard time about it!" and I signed on tonight to find that I didn't escape!

Good for your wife! Sounds like your family enjoys Nissans...Aside from a quick detour to a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T I had back in 1999, I've had just about only Nissans..The first "new" car I had ever bought was a Nissan 240sx Hatchback...oh the memories..

I'm loving this forum!

With your exhaust question. The FI is not too loud my wife is a 31 year old school teacher and she drives the G37S with HFC's and catback to school. it is louder than stock but never has she gotten the WTF look from the other teachers for the car or the mods. Drive the car you want at any age no matter what. When you give in to what others think is when you start to age.
