Happy Birthday! My son is a Marine (Infantry). I'm 45 myself and recently retired from the USN. Enjoy the Z and thanks for your service! Ooh Rah!

Ooh Rah!, with a Semper Fi to go along with it. My MOS was different than your son's, but to go into what i ultimately wanted to do in the Corp i had to get an MOS "slash" of 0311, which is what your son is (Infantry) and believe it or not, they tease 0311's and call them "Grunts" but that is the BEST place to be in the Corps, especially nowadays, lol. He gets the very best training there is, and you can count on that! Thank him for serving the next time you guys speak, and tell him a "Gunny" (Gunnery Sergeant) said "Stay squared away".
