WOW....:tiphat: That things looks great...must be even better in person.
I'll see you around in Dallas. Just got my black 370 thanks to Lou.

Thanks :D When the sun is out I can't stop smiling. The tint has set in now and it looks better now that I've cleaned the soap off of the outside of the window. I got the illuminated kick plates installed last night (with the white LED mod) and they're soooo nice, especially compared to the black plastic ones.

Oh man congatz on the white Nismo! I never see any 370z in Arlington, I've seen a GTR though he was in front of me. I just wanted to get out of my car and hug the GTR even if it means getting my *** kicked. Sure, I did get an evil thought of ramming him haha:icon18:!!

vipor 09-13-2009 01:50 AM

Hah thanks man. I've seen two GTRs around town, never parked so I can look at it tho :/

Congrats 193! Don't you love the Pearl White? Took me awhile to track it down. Was going to have to get a black, but dealer found me a Pearl White last minute.

So long as it's clean it's wonderful. It's actually still pretty badass when it's dirty, just cuz. Same thing for me, the dealer had black on site, but I wasn't about to settle. They trucked it in from about 7 hours away. I had to wait like 5 more days, which sucked, but once I saw it under the make-ready canopy it was all worth it.

Been looking to get some vanity plates, and theyre up to 7 characters now in TX. These are some ideas:

NISMO (prob not avail)
NISSAN Z (maybe avail)
Z34 0193
NISMO Z (prob not avail)
NISMO VQ

Awesome Ride!! I am in DFW, too!! Which dealer did you use? I am in the market for a PW and I could use some help!

Do you have any plans on putting a 3M clear bra on your car?

Thanks.

I went through Jerry's Weatherford. I went through USAA's car buying program and they're a partnered dealer. Adam was my salesman and he was helpful and knew his stuff. Their financing manager was also very nice and thorough and didn't try to blow any smoke.

Texas Nissan in Grapevine seemed like they didn't want my business when I was shopping a month before I purchased. The salesman (had to be like 19) seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder and wasn't willing to spend any real time answering my questions. Also, the sales manager just came across brash, I just pictured Bernie Mac for some reason. They tried to offer me a $600/mo lease on the "top of the line" Z, you know, the one that sells for 29.5k.... They were also unwilling to let me test drive the car, stating that customers don't like miles on the car and that they typically only allow test drives if you're "ready to buy." Terrible.
*Note: I went to Texas Nissan to have the hatch spring issue looked at and after a little time talking to the right people they are taking care of it for me. Seems the Service side of this dealer is it's shining light.

I went to Grubbs Nissan in Bedford and spoke with a man named Wayne. He was super helpful, understanding, and got with his financing guys to put together some estimations without running my credit. If they had been on the ball on finding and getting a PW Nismo for me I would have definitely gone with them. They had my 2nd choice in stock, a PW Sport Touring 6MT.

Also, when asked about a maintenance program, I followed up with some questions. They will not use Synthetic or Esther (sp?) oil or dismount tires to rotate them side-to-side, so it's not worth it. I later saw that the Yokohamas that come in the Nismo can't be moved side to side anyways, so it was a non-issue to begin with.

As far as the bra goes, my brother works at Park Place Lexus and he did some research. They typically go for 6-800$ from what I've found, although mine may be more because they don't have the Nismo front end in the computer so they'll have to do it custom.

**Sidenote: I literally just noticed I typed "Nizmo" with a "Z" in the topic, I'm bad, I know... If I could fix it I would. :P

According to TXDOT "NISMO" AND "NISMOZ" aren't available. (the site can only check 6 character plates atm)
