Hello from DropTopGal / South Florida
Hello to all from South Florida!
As my handle suggests, I am a gal (woman actually) who drives convertibles (droptop). I've been surfing the board for some time and reading many of your posts which has me both informed and inspired. I really like the 370Z and am looking forward to the roadster release! I currently drive a yellow 08 Vette with all of the options of course. Past droptops have been 05 S2000 where I learned how to road race from a professional driver, 03 Lexus SC430, 01 & 03 M3 Vert. For me, the droptop is a weekend car / beach cruiser as my 08 Lexus IS350 is my daily car. I am one of those few gals who is a car enthusiast. While it will be difficult to leave the sheer power, great looks, and eye catching of the Vette, the Vette does have drawbacks (crappy interior for a $65k car, crappy nav display, wide turning radius, not as refined as cars of lesser value, and now "government owned", to name just a few). Initially, I was looking at either a Boxter S or M3 Vert to replace the Vette, but when you add up the options and compare them to the 370Z Roadster, it just seems like a waste of money for nearly the same performance. Further, the 370Z looks much nicer (IMHO) and will likely be even more reliable. Besides, the 370Z will be fun to do some mods to. Again, hello to all and thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge about the 370Z. |

Welcome aboard! I too transitioned from a 2004 red convertible vette to a 370Z. So far it has been an interesting ride, but I do miss the rag top and the 375 ftlb of torque.

BTW... $66.5 is base, add the vert and options, a new M3 will run about $78k, give or take a couple grand. While I am fortunate enough to afford it, I just don't feel that the car is worth it. |

Welcome! I have an 05 C6 myself, but I couldn't part with it, so I just added the Z as an extra car, as I have always been a Z lover. If you are on corvetteforum, you might know me as corvette pilot.

Welcome. It's funny how all the guys in here admire women who are car enthusiasts.
How many "friend add" requests have flooded your account thus far? J/K...have fun in here. |
