Doesn't look like nav is included in USDM Nismos. Europe gets it, those bastards. Of course, it's a hell of a lot more expensive over there. |

I simply hope they do make that change in the USDM model :ugh2: I have been waiting just for that reason. I guess a few more months and we shall find out. |
I have a feeling that if they added Nav they'd have made a big deal about it. Just because it says "fully equipped" doesn't mean they're talking about Nav.

Ya man I don't think there will be a nav. "fully equipped" just means that there are no options (i.e. it only comes one way)
It's too bad. The lack of nav and additional luxuries of the touring model are the very reasons I refrained from getting the Nismo. There's really no difference in price in Canada between the Nismo and fully loaded coupe so it was a tough choice to make. I figured that since the car is a DD for me, I couldn't deal with no nav/leather and all the goodies that come with it. I'm making more power than a stock Nismo now anyway. Food for thought |

In that case, I shall put on my positive hat and accept that. I did kind of want to use a tablet instead so I could have additional functionality. I guess that will be my only option regardless. I've looked through plenty of the DIYs, dating back to early 2011, and while I saw many tablet installs I didn't see one the way I would do it. My favorite part of having a tablet would be the easy browsing of music, and apps. Including my new favorite app, waze. All in all I still want a NISMO. The looks, the sound, the performance. It's all around an amazing package that is hard to ignore. What tablet do you guys suggest ? I was thinking an iPad mini, just because they feel smoother than android tablets in general. I own both types so no need to bash. The lack of navi also makes me wonder if the 2014 model will be worth the mark up. |

Anyone heard any additional news of the 2014? Starting to debate whether the wrapped steering wheel and accents are worth the markup |
I've been considering the fact that I will not be able have navigation. And leather seats. Damn.
I am feeling inclined towards the Touring with Sport package, fully loaded. It would only be 20hp away from the nismo, and I can still get the bumpers if I decide I want the same style. Or go the Amuse route. Bah so many options.... I've been driving my friends 2013 STI, and while I will admit it is an amazing piece of engineering, I am not sure I would buy one. It seems like a glorified sedan. |
Go for the touring+sport. If you mod it, you'll make up the power difference very easily. You spend more time inside the car than outside, so buy accordingly. Aftermarket Nav will never be as well integrated into the car as OEM. Of course, that becomes a problem when you want to upgrade the stereo, but there's always a catch.

On a side note: Got a call yesterday from NEW employer :happydance: Relocation to Kansas City will happen in approximately 1 or two weeks max. Anyone in this forum help to give some insight and help out? I will be moving with literally a suitcase of clothes lol. The company is providing me a relocation stipend, so I will have a few bucks to get an apartment and other needs. |

Does the Bose have any other quirks like that? I know some of the new models have an internal HDD (5gb IIRC), is there a way to upgrade them? I tried to do a bit of research, but came up empty. |
I've never heard of upgrading the HD. It's pretty big from what I can remember.
