New member looking for Z
Hello everyone,
I've been lurking on the forums for a few weeks, and this seems like the best site on Z net. I'm currently in the process of looking for a 370. New or used, my only stipulations are that it has to be white with a manual gearbox. If anyone has any leads i'd appreciate it. I'm already looking at turbo kits, as I plan on transforming this car into a monster. Some of the previous cars I've owned are: 01 Acura integra type-r 03 Honda S2000 05 Nissan 350Z 08 Subaru wrx sti I have a a little experience with "tuner" cars, but I'm always looking to further my knowledge. Currently I have an appointment with Woodhouse Nissan in Bellevue Nebraska to drive a 370 later today. I'll try to snap some pictures of my experience and I look forward to making some new friends. Sincerely, Shane (Brazz) |

Brazz..ers? I've spent many an hour on that network myself.
I know next-to-nothing about turbo-charging.. and I don't live near Iowa but I love seeing pics and white cars! Keep me updated on what you end up getting. 370's are so awesome! Oh and I love your car history. I had an Integra myself, and almost bought a WRX a few years back. Good stuff! |

Welcome & congrats on waiting to get a 370Z. I would start with a few Nissan dealerships around your area & tell them exactly what you want. They might have to go out of the city/state to get exactly what you want, but do not settle. FYI Nissan has a 0% interest on 370Z up to 60 months & 2.99% interest on 72 months which ends 4/30/12.

That 0% financing deal sounds like the opportunity i'm looking for. I wonder if that applies to the 13's as well. I kind of like the new look. Maybe it's an old look for some people who think it looks like the 350. "shinybluez" I hadn't actually thought about the adult entertainment comment until you had mentioned it. I work for a metal recycycling company and as you may or may not know "brass" is a hot commodity as well as copper and aluminum etc. etc. speaking of Canadians, I really like that twin-scroll turbo kit that "boosted performance" is working on. He must be some kind of mad scientist building something like that and being only one man.

Hey guys,
Spent a few hours talking with Ryan at Woodhouse Nissan. Super friendly guy. I was able to drive a 10 touring with 2,000 miles. I was extremely surprised with how loud the road noise was. Maybe it was the tires, but even Ryan agreed it was pretty loud. Overall I really liked the engine note and the eagerness to rev up. Also surprised how light the steering was. I should probably stop preaching to the choir, because you guys already know how great this car is. I'm able to purachase this car for 27,199 OTD. I'd prefer to have a base model, with the sport package. Just so happens there is a brand new 11 with such options but it's about another $4,000 and it's 500 miles away from my current location. The dealer seemed open to a "dealer trade" but I can understand the need to sell their current inventory. Do either one of these cars seem like a good buy to you guys? Also I took a few pictures with my iPad but am not sure how to post them up. |

OP, i agree with everyone above, dont settle for anything less than what YOU want. because at the end of the day, its you that makes the decision. its gonna be YOUR car .... not the dealer's...go for EXACTLY what you want. otherwise you will never be truly happy.... never settle for second best.

I definitely recommend sports package.
As mentioned in previous posts, don't let the dealer force you to 'settle' on something. I got a 2011 new last March. My requirements were MT + Sports pkg. My local dealer found what I wanted in Oklahoma and had it shipped down to Austin. It's just not a big deal even if they try to make it sound like it is. *EDIT* BONUS: if you're 25 or older and close the sale before they have the car on their lot, most dealerships will give you a loaner Z. It was so awesome to have some real fun before getting my own new Z which needed a full break-in. Last edited by JARblue; 04-18-2012 at 11:32 PM. |

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes! I'm glad to hear that others have had success with dealer trades. I plan on calling my salesman first thing in the morning and telling him to get the new Z from out of town. I'll keep you guys posted...
