Looking at an 09 370Z. Will i fit?

Local dealer has an 09 with 11K miles. Black/Black/Auto :( but a very sweet looking car. I'm 6'6. Will i even be close to fitting? Going to test drive tomorrow and talk numbers. Whats a good price? They want 28K which IMO is way to high.

This has been discussed at great length, search for the word "tall" and you get a lot of threads. This guy is your same height, and says he barely fits:

Ragtop is even worse from my understanding. I've seen complaints from people 6'3

TreeSemdyZee 12-11-2011 02:21 PM

I just refinanced my '09 6mt with Sport Package and they said it was worth around $28k.

Thechidz 12-11-2011 02:44 PM

very important to know if the car has sport, touring and/or NAV packages regarding price?

I am 6'3" and BIG and I fit, but on long drives it can be uncomfortable

KaienZ34 12-11-2011 02:47 PM

My friend is 6'6 and that's about the limit to these cars.

Don Karnage 12-12-2011 05:18 AM

Thanks guys. Looks like i can check this car off my list. There is no use to even consider a car i won't be comfortable in.

Edit - I'm going to test drive for the hell of it anyway. Maybe i can make it work. Beats buying a GTI or a Speed 3

KaienZ34 12-12-2011 08:09 AM

No harm in giving it a test drive, i say go for it.

MacCool 12-12-2011 08:19 AM

You have to test drive it. My son is 6' 5" 210 lbs, he barely fits but he says he's comfortable in it. The two problem areas are leg length and headroom (obviuosly). Your ability to drive it comfortably is going to depend on your particular leg length vs torso length.

ZMan8 12-12-2011 10:12 AM

I am 6'4" and don't have any problems driving, and getting in & out. IMO, a sports car should be a "tight" fit. I have more leg room in my Z then in my scion xD. (and I have long legs). The only thing I would mention is I have long arms (6'5"-6'6" wing span), and sometimes the shifter in my 6M feels to close to me.

Mikes350z 12-12-2011 10:40 AM

6'6" is the max and you will NOT be able to clutch in it with out raising your knee back instead of heel if you know what i mean, in that case your knee will then hit the steering wheel. My Best friend is 6'4" Right Tackle and cant fit nor clutch... my first 350Z was auto and he fit very well and could drive it... If you are skinny and tall Auto will work....

This is a sports car, after a long ride regardless of size you will get uncomfortable, I drove 16 hours in the 350z wanted to die after 5 hours from the seat, Drove my jeep the same trip wanted to die too...

TEST DRIVE for sure.

Don Karnage 12-12-2011 06:21 PM

Test drove it tonight and i felt like a sardine. Amazing car. Took it for an extended test drive and that exhaust note is just orgasmic but i just couldn't get comfortable. Oh well. Appreciate all the reply's. Thanks again guys

...not the only one. Increased risk for spontaneous pneomothorax as well. *jealous 5'10.5" guy.

6-6 is probably too tall! How about the Armada!
