Hello.
Just saying 'hello'. I also stumbled upon this site looking for info on the new Z. I've owned an N/A Z32 in the past, so not completely new to the world.
I currently drive a 2005 WRX STi (yea yea, you either LOVE it or HATE it). I'm an avid Auto-Xer and Track go-er and have driven my STi as it should. It's mildly modded - Pro-Tuned Stg-II (Dyno'ed @ 309hp and 330ft/lbs), Double adjustable Coilovers, sways, camber plates, etc. Mostly suspension stuff, I'm more about turning fast. With 50k miles on the ODO, and the way I've raced my STi from pretty much day one, I figure I'd better get rid of it in about a year. So thats how I've found myself here.... THIS year, I'm getting a daily driver beater. Doing one more season of serious Auto-X with the parts I've invested in my STi, then I figure its time to find a new ride. So it'll probably be 2010 when I get one. I previously passed on the Z33 for the STi. For me, something about the look wasn't quite right (not that I thought STi was by any means 'pretty'), but that combined with the fact that I felt it was a touch down on power, and I needed a car to get around the snow here in winter helped make my decision. So far, I love the new look of the 09 Z, added that touch of power I was looking for, and I no longer need a winter driver. The price on the Z looks about right, can't wait till I cant test one out and we know more. |

Welcome to the Forums.
309 HP/330 ft/lbs of tq on a modified suspension STI = . I'm def IN for pictures. AutoXing can a be a lot fun. We have a new track here in NJ (Milleville track) and some of our friends will get together and take our cars there in spring maybe. The new Z looks, drives and feels great -- according to big auto reviewers like Edmunds and MotorTrend. With a $30K price tag, can you really go wrong? Hope to see you behind a 370Z soon. Enjoy your stay here

Hey guys, here are some Pics. I definitely need to take some new ones, just about all of them are Auto-X pics:
Lifting a rear wheel. Too stiff a sway was the problem here. This Pic is when I was on the stock springs. You can see the need for some serious stiffness up front. |

Hey, I've seen pictures of your car before I think on nasioc. My name on there is 04RCSTI. I am coming from an 06 STI with 315whp and 320wtq. RCE and whiteline suspension stuff and some other goodies. Check it out Hello All.
Hello and welcome to the z forums, I see we're heading in a similar direction carwise. |

Nice 06, I love the black. I would have gone with a black STi, but I know how hard it is to keep clean looking. Virtually same setup I'm sure. I've got RCE T2s also. I really hate to sell the STi, its been a blast to own and drive. I've beat the hell out of it and the worst thing to happen so far was my I/C sprayer got clogged. I will miss the way the love to be driven. I've just got that feeling that its time to move on to something new. |
