Default New guy contemplating a new Z

Hi all! New to the forum and I'm thinking about picking up a new Z. Saw one in person a couple weeks ago and fell in love. I really want a white with persimmon interior.
I've yet to test drive one but I'm really looking forward to trying out the synchrorev feature. Its going to be weird not having to blip my own throttle.

I'm coming from a wrx wagon with some goodies so the Z will be a pretty big change. Still not sure if I wanna keep the wagon or just trade it in. I would only be keeping it so I can go snowboarding in the winter. Not really sure the Z would be too great for that.

Also, anyone know if the brembos only come on the roadster? Or are they an option on the coupe as well?
Thanks, looking forward to learning more about this car.

There are no brembo's on 370z, they are called "Akebono" Wich nissan paints over and prints nissan on them.

They come with the "sports" package wich can be obtained on either base or touring for 3k. But if your going to get syncro then you already are getting sports package wich gets thsoe brakes.

Yea, looks like you are right. Nissanusa website only shows the brembos available for the touring version of the 370z roadster.

Should be going to the dealer this weekend to check the car out and get in for a test drive. Hopefully they'll give me an offer I can't refuse, although no dealer within 100 miles of me has the color combo that I really want.

I think you might be wrong. As an ex owner of 350Z I know brembos are optional there and as a 370Z owner I know that brombos aren't offered for them. I think you're looking at 350Z roadster.

+1 no brembos on the 370... the brembos they put on the G/350z sucked anyway... mass manufactured - all for the name... same as the ones on the evo xs

Well, finally got to the dealer and it looks like I will be picking up a pearl white Z very soon. They didn't have the color combo that I wanted, and the sales manager spent about 30 minutes looking thru nissan inventory with no luck. But he did manage to find one that has all the packages that I want, just with a grey interior instead of the persimmon. I'm pretty happy because the dealer will honor VPP pricing as well, so it should be a pretty good deal once they get the exact vin and exact price of the car. Thanks to everyone who posted about their experiences because it was all very helpful.

I went from a svt focus to a honda civic si to the 370z. I paid 30 gees for the 370z .You cant find a better value with the horsepower and looks than this car. Its a great car and the ladies love it.

Well, I ended up ordering a Z from the factory because the other dealership wouldn't trade with my dealer. Ordered the car June 5th, and was expecting the car about the first week of September.

Got a call from the dealer today stating that my ETA had been pushed back to the week of September 25th. Normally I wouldn't mind about a couple of extra weeks (I've already waited this long), but my VPP code is set to expire on September 24th.

What are your experiences with ordering from the factory with respect to their 90 day claim? I can certainly understand a week to ten days, but I'm gonna be close to 3 weeks late. Plus I ordered the car with the assumption that I would be getting VPP pricing. What are the chances that my dealer will honor the price even without the code? Does any one know of a way to extend the expiration without actually having to get a new code?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
