Smile Massachusetts Hot Rodder

Hey people,
I've been driving beaters for as long as I can remember so I could save some money and build the two cars you see below. Although some of the beaters were a lot of fun, I'm happy to say that I'm ready for the 370z.

I live in Northeast MA, and I'm here to have a good time. It looks like you've created a top notch forum, I'm looking forward to participating.

I've got 10k saved up and I'll finance the rest. I'm pretty much ready to buy so let me know if you see a good one for sale.

I'm from Lowell, and I feel like I've seen that Ford on 495 several times!

If you want, check mine out in the classifieds. I'm in RI and work in Medway, MA, so it'll be somewhat closer if you want to have a look.

Welcome to the Forum!

I always see nice old hot rods driving around my home town of Tewksbury and wonder if they are going to a car show. I see them randomly at parking lots some nights. I'd love to know if there are any in the area.

There's a black 370Z roadster with the Sports package on the big display stand at the Chevy dealer in Lowell/Tewksbury on Rt 38. I drove past it from time to time. They have it nose to nose with a black Saturn Sky.

I bought mine from IRA in Woburn but they also have a dealership in Tewksbury. I got a good deal on mine and I bought 3 Toyotas from IRA over the years. Pretty pleased with them.

Hope to see you around at some cruise night in either the new Z or that Ford!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Newyen, That's probably me, I live right there.. Flip me off next time so I know it's you.

Rob, I'd like to have touring package.. thanks though.

Tony, hey I'm in your home town.. They have a show at Papa Ginos on Friday, and VIP Auto in Billerica on Tuesday. The one you want to go to is Patriot Place in Foxboro.. thousands of cars every-other Tuesday. Pick up a copy of Whip's Wheels publication, or Hemmings.com, they both do a good job of letting you know where the local car shows are. That dealership in Lowell has a problem with integrity.. twice I've tried to buy a car there but had to leave because of the sales tactics they deploy. Glad you had a good experience with IRA, I'm going to give them a shot.

Bummer about that Cheby dealer....... Did you go look at the Z anyway?

Keep an eye out for a white roadster, that will be me. Its my lovely wife's car so give her a beep next time you see her at Market Bastid.

I had a heck of a time buying mine. We wanted a 6 spd roadster so it was a bit tough to locate. Went to many dealers and the closest we got was a guy in Attleboro that had a blue one with 4k miles on it that the manager was using. It had curb rash on 3 wheels and a scratch of some kind on EVERY single panel of the car. They offered me $3k under sticker!!! And they wouldn't budge. They were jerks the whole time. Trying to sell a car with 4k on the clock as "new" because it was never registered. OK Fine, so its "new" but I'm not paying a new car price for it......

I bought the white one that very night at IRA. It was on the showroom floor with a big discount on the windshield. I got them down even further and stole it that night. It was close to 5k less and had more options....

Good luck in the hunt!
