Plus the stock 18" wheels will likely have the senders in place already for the tire pressure warning system. I bought a set of stock 18's two years ago and had them fitted with Blizzaks. My total outlay including wheels & mounting/balancing was about $1500. I've been through a couple of hard winters without much drama (Connecticut), altho I don't put many miles on the Z in the winter.
Fo sho. Great call, will keep the ole eyeballs peeled!

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about oil temps, unless you are tracking your car. As soon as you start adding performance (intake, catback, high-flow cats, tune), then you'll probably want the oil cooler. When you do, get one with a thermal plate that closes off the oil cooler at lower temps. Otherwise things will run too cool in the winter, and your gas mileage will suck.
Awesome. Didn't know that but that is great to know. Both the Z and Stillen one have it IINM. I do plan on tracking lightly, perhaps autox and 1/4 m. I might also do FI, but that's like probably 2-3 years down the road...

I've watched our preferred installer put these on the last 5 or six cars we've had, there is NO WAY in hell I would ever consider trying to do it myself, it's not that it's super technical, but there is def an "art" to it and practice makes perfect so to speak. Def worth doing though, it's nice not having any damage to the front of the car after over a year of driving around. (except of course on the area of the hood were I decided not to clear bra, ergh).

Oh, and we always do the headlights (and fog lights if applicable) as well.

Good point man, I'm not going to try it myself. I couldn't even put a clear cover on my phone, haha. $15m down the drain.

Looking around now for a shop to do the install...

congrats. i havent followed since page 2, had a lot to catch up on. i was gonna ask which car was urs on audizine, as my friend just posted his 2006 b7 s4 for sale, wanted to compare.

clear bra first! i SOOO regret doing it 6 months later, the amount of chips that you will get are gonna be ridic, its the one major downside to the car. there is a very good place in Roslyn that does high end cars, or if you want a reasonable price, Savage Autosports in medford did a fantastic job on my tints and clear bra, as they did many other Z's from our area as well.

enjoy the looks you'll get.

Also waiting for response from Vinny Tens about installing an oil cooler and pricing, along with Performance. Brandon responded, but no response from Performance (I emailed them yesterday).

Don't email them. Just give them a call, they work Tuesday-Saturdays. 9AM-6PM, I believe.

You coming to the meet today?
