Hi everyone......looking at trading my 03 Cobra for a 370z
 

somthing i thought i would NEVER do! but i test drove the 370z and loved it.
its not as fast and doesnt have as much potential to go fast BUT its so easy to drive, turns nicely. and it does LOOK nice
i dont think i'll get as much attention as my mustang gets, everyone pulls up beside me saying nice car etc...its convertible as well.
but i really do love the 370z..i will drive it everyday as opposed to my weekend toy now.

i really love the Permission interior but it seems to not be offered on pearl white z's?? only black!
i love the interior but i think i want a white 370z not black..i think it will stand out MORE?
and i have always had black vehicles so it'll be a nice change?

anyways just wanted to say hi and vent

i'll be lurking learning all i can for these really neat sports cars!

How does location make a difference on getting less attention?

dont get me wrong i dont see 370Z's around often..actually i've only ever seen 2 of them in the last 2 years. more infinity's

and i know there are LOTS of mustangs, but not many Cobra's like my car so people seem to like it?
im not sure...do you get lots of thumbs up in the z? its more Balla' status i think

The mustang is very common over here, even the cobra. I've actually really been a big fan of them since the beginning, but they don't get a ton of attention here (at least where i live).

I wouldn't make that deal, but do what makes you feel good

You wouldn't get rid of a Cobra for a 370z? even though this is a 370z forum? haha

and ya that makes sense that cobra's dont get much attention because musatangs are all over the place.

Naw, the terminator is one solid car. I'd drive that thing till the wheels came off.

question though: why dont you drive a terminator? if you have a 370z you can afford a terminator or any mustang?

At the time it had just come out, I was rockin my 02 trans am ws6, and had just put a bunch of money in it. I did try to pick one up in the 06 area, but those things had become unicorns by then. They either had 98765467876 miles on them, or they were charging big bucks.

ws6 is a nasty car too!! i do love the v8 power! i was thinking i'd go to the 370z for a while and then my next car in 5 yrs go for a c7 zo6 :)
who knows...i know i'll miss my cobra i just dont drive it, its got 28000kms and its an 03. i think if ihad the 370 i would be able to enjoy it more? not drive it as fast but enjoy it??

<shrug> I drive ever car hard, doesn't seem to make a difference. Although, I have noticed I take it easier on cars that have autos as opposed to manuals.

ya agreed...auto's arent as much fun to drive hard! nothing better than slamming through the gears hard and fast!
auto's sucK! well they have their place in luxury cars/trucks/suv's

paddle shift in a lambo wouldnt be the same, but i'd opt for paddle shift just for lightnight fast shifts!

My own personal opinion, coming from a previous die-hard mustang owner, I think the 370Z gets way more attention. Especially around here, where mustangs are everywhere. Even the new Shelby GT500's are quite common. I definitely see more of those than Z's. Granted I never had a cobra, I would much rather have a Z. :tiphat:

Of course a Z is gonna get more attention in TX. Keep in mind, the dude is in europe.

Yea, I saw that had been mentioned, but he said that there were actually a lot of mustangs around him and not many Z's.

After rereading that post, I realized that I lost my train of thought and left out some of my comment. I didn't mean to go straight from mustang owner to attention. lol I meant to discuss that I enjoy the looks, feel, and performance of the Z over the Mustang.:icon14:

sorry guys! thats confusing either way still dont see many z's! see lots of mustangs, not many cobras! but ONLY car guys know the difference.
its nice to know that my car IS faster than 95% of the other guys.... i know i can make 370 faster too but thats going to cost $$>.. for $7000 into my car i can get 700RWHP! vroom lol

Im really surprised that there are people on the 370 forum saying keep cobra....

i guess i could always go Z06 too..or Viper! those are around the same price as a new 370z.... used of course though

yeah, the Z will never be as fast as a terminator.

it's funny i don't get a lot of looks in my Z, but i do with my older truck. I am in Alberta though, so...
Not a lot of Z here either lots of 'stangs though.

ya the 370z is a nice, fun, and easy thing to drive. it makes a perfect power and handling and looks for a sports car in its price range. the stang is cool, but i think you need something newer and different. i know my next car will be a turbocharged car, i am kind of sick of N/A v8s at the moment.

Why is everyone talking straight-line performance - the 370z is an incredibly well handling sports car with more than enough performance on public roads. If you're into track days slap an oil cooler in, do your standard bolt-ons and if that isn't enough add a supercharger.

If I had to make the decision I'd go Z again any day.

If I had the Cobra already I would keep it over the Z. The Terminators are badass cars and they will hold far more value than the Z will, if that means anything to you.

But if I was looking to buy a DD I would probably go with the Z over the Cobra... Its a nicer car to have to live with every day than the Cobra. Just don't expect to make Cobra power without spending some serious cash.

Your Cobra looks nice, and has low miles on it. I really liked how the stangs looked back then compared to now. BTW are u sick of driving it? or u just love the Z?

I didn't realize it was a vert, not that it changes anything. Keep the Cobra. I really think you'll be disappointed if you buy the Z.

I don't know if it's different in Europe but my Z is pearl white with a persimmon interior.
