My New Z From PANAMA

It's done! Click here to see the rebuild project

***********************************

First of all you are not expecting my new Z to come like this so you may LYAO when you see the pics, you can troll if you want to as well! :roflpuke2:

I live in Panama (the country, not the city) where the Nisan dealership only sells the 6spd, touring + sport japanese version of the Z (with rear windshield wiper). Since this is a quite exclusive model for a small country of only 3 million habitants, it sells for more than $60,000 USD.

And given that I'm just an average 22 year old folk who has worked hard and saved some bucks for the last 3 years, there is no way I could afford a $60,000 Z. The average yearly income per person in my country is about $10,000, mine wasn't much higher than that. So the only way to get it was to import one from the US that has been in an accident and given total loss.

I started bidding this Z in copart.com, the car was 2009, 4260 miles, rear collision, but no airbag deployed and the engine was 100% untouched. I paid $18,000 for it in the bid. Then $2,000 more for transportation, shipping, and about $5,000 in importing taxes. I ended up paying about $25,000 for a pretty damaged Z. I know it sounds ridiculous but this is the only way to buy a Z in my country, there are no used ones for sale because there are only about 7 o 8 370z in the whole country.

The good side of this? workmanship in cheap as hell in here, so it will take less than $1,000 to repair, fit, paint and install everything, of course i have to buy the parts which costs like $2,000 in total. If I were in the states I could get a brand new Z for just a few more thousand.

Here are some pics

In the port with 350z, civic si, galant, etc. Where is my Z?

Hey man, I posted in your other thread but this link might help with some pictures you need. These guys also probably have a lot of the OEM parts you need for sale. Good luck with the re-build!
