Hey everyone. Active duty Army here, and just got back from deployment. I've been reading through the forums constantly since I started looking for a sports car months ago in Afghanistan. I had thought a well used 911 would be the the perfect thing to blow my hazard duty pay on but doing your own work on that (to belay maintenance cost) was only good in theory. I'm unreasonably opposed to domestics due in no small part to the pile of Mustangs on every post, so after wasting countless hours researching I attacked a range of sports cars within a week of landing stateside. To cut the story short I spun the Porsche, Miata felt cheap, the Lotus is not a daily car, 135i are great, didn't want to compete with my buddy's Evo, RX-8s are terribly disappointing, and the Z is exactly everything I wanted.

Shopped aggressively and just bought my Nismo while home on leave. I love it! I'm still torn between vanity Army plates "NOTGTR" or "JDMLOL" (both available).
