Just traded my 2010 GTI for an 09 Sport Touring Nav Black 370z with the grey leather.

I don't remember my first test drive of one of these back when they came out being this much fun. This thing has some crazy nut. The girlfriend got a little scared when the car stepped out in a 1st and 2nd gear romp. hehe I promised to drive slower till she was used to the car.

So I have a question. The car was used, and has one of those protectant films on the hood, front bumper, quarters and mirrors. What are these things called so I can look up info on them?
Can yu just wax over them or what? They seem to have a bunch of bug debri and oily residue on them. I guess its better than nicks and swirls

Can you take them off and replace them when they start getting ratty or what?

Oh yah, pics will come shortly. It started pouring rain so I couldn't get a good photo shoot in.

The protective film can be removed if it's in really bad condition, don't worry about it.

The film you are talking about is probably a clear bra. Shouldn't have to worry about it for a very long time.

Its funny being welcomed by you Phil. I used to own a competitive shop with vivid back when your boss was just starting from vividcellular. We both were selling some of the first parts to the wrx scene... its been a long time since I've seen the name. Glad to see you guys are still going strong.

It has been almost 10 long years for me. I sold my 300Zx in 2001.
