Previous TVR owner

Hi all,

I have caught the 370z bug! I used to own a TVR Tuscan S about 7 years ago but circumstances forced me to downgrade quite dramatically and now I drive a very humble little Kia.

But the business is doing very well and I want to be in a position to buy a 370z in about a years time. I'm looking forward to taking a test drive of one of these babies when it's launched in Australia!

Hopefully I can find something that resembles the mechanical rawness and fun of the TVR. Sports cars these days have become far too civilised!

Good luck mate!

Cheers! I never expected to be able to afford a car like this again so I want to make sure it's the right one. We have some great mountain roads up this way :)

I'm jealous, we are pretty flat here. I'll have to do a few hours travel to really stretch her legs.

We'll nickname you "Swordfish!" The TVR and Morgan are among the esoteric automobiles that have always interested me since high school. Welcome to the forum.

I agree, but add Spyker to my list.

To OP, TVR's are insane. If cars were food, TVR would be a raw steak.

I personally have wet dreams about the Sagaris and I'm not afraid to tell everyone..:yum:

I had the Tuscan S. Here are some pics for you!

I'd love to hear the 370z without a louder exhaust.

Welcome, beautiful Tuscan you had there, very unique car. I have never driven one so I can't really compare, but I hope you will not be disappointed with the Z.

the Tuscan S is miles above a 370Z, just warning you about that...Much much faster.

I had to sell the Tuscan about 7 years ago and I now drive a Kia Rio so I think my familiarity with a high speed and acceleration has worn off but I did learn some very valuable lessons on how to drive a powerful RWD car with no traction control or ABS :)

RCZ 03-13-2009 04:19 PM

haha, the Z is an awesome car and you will love it. It will certainly be much more refined than the tuscan and won't fall apart...and it wont kill you as easily. I think you will enjoy it very much and don't see why you shouldn't go for it :) If I lived in the UK I would have a Sagaris, no doubt about it.

stinhambo 03-13-2009 11:37 PM

I never got to drive the Sagaris but it would be my pick for sure.

Some reviews complain about a mechanical roughness in the 370z but that is what is appealing to me. I want to feel like I am piloting something mechanical and raw and not a magic carpet (BMW etc).
