The 7AT a sick transmission. Daily driver? I say auto. Weekend car? Either one is just as good as the other. The auto is slightly faster. But the manual handles slightly better on the track. The auto gets slightly better gas mileage and those paddle shifts will changes gears like you are poppin clutches. Test drive em both. I prefer the auto myself. But either way you can't go wrong.

Nope because Ferrari's, Lambo's, Nissan GT-R's transmissions are TOTALLY different types of technology. They use twin clutches, instant response to input from the driver's command and instant upshifts and downshifts, complete control like a manual but without the clutch pedal.

The paddle shifters on the Z 7AT are there to "simulate" that type of technology with a conventional torque converter automatic. It's not the same thing, so don't compare it to dual clutch transmissions.

Just because the tech is different does not change the result (faster shifts than one can pull off in a manual). I get instant upshifts and downshifts as well.

You should get an auto.
Manual isn't for everyone.

When I was driving a manual, I found it incredibly hard to drive, masturbate, AND work the transmission. Likewise when a girl in the passenger seat was working my crank; it was too difficult with our arms constantly bumping into each other and crossing.

with the automatic all you have to worry about is accidently knocking it into neutral
