Hey Everyone,
I've been a very proud Z owner since September, getting fully stuck into the Z-spirit. I've got a Silver 370z GT, completely standard, but after a little bit of time at Santa Pod raceway I'm on the market for a mechanical LSD of some sort... Here's a couple of short videos of me trying to get the Z to figure 8. Single Donut, then trying to transition into a figure 8... YouTube - Donuts in the 370z Screw the Donuts, let's just get it to figure 8... YouTube - Trying to get my Stock 370z to figure 8 I reckon with some more time and more tyre wear I could have got some nice slides out of her, but I couldn't justify being 200 miles away from home with no rubber! Mike *Edit* Trying to fix the embedded videos, think something is up since youtube changed their site! Last edited by Zwitta; 01-31-2010 at 02:56 PM. |

Hi Mike. Good effort! I tried doing both at the Nissan Race Academy and found it really difficult - and that was in someone else's 370Z not mine!
Hope to see you at a UK meet some day, Paul

Hey Paul, thanks, I found it really easy to get going round and sideways! Maybe becuase you weren't as worried as I was about treating it nice meant you were giving it too much!! But either way the viscous LSD just wont transfer enough power, you can see that only one of the wheels is smoking at all so when it comes to swapping round and going the other way it just bogs down and/or understeers when you try to feed the power back after the weight transfer. Lame! Shouldn't be a crazy job to get a 1.5 way LSD in there and that should keep it fairly streetable since this is my daily driver too :/
I've actually been looking for meets! Now I'm on this forum and the uk 350z forum, no doubt you will see me at a meet sometime soon! Last edited by Zwitta; 01-31-2010 at 07:58 PM. |

Maybe I was just crap! I think I have too much mechanical sympathy sometimes...
I'm on nissansportz.com so take a look on there too if you haven't already. It's a bit of a treck for you from Manchester but Nissan are taking a 370Z convertible to Bealieu for us to play with on the 28th. We have discounted entry too. Details here --> Beaulieu Motor Museum - nissansportz If not, then maybe I'll see you at one of the bigger meets this year

Hey Zwitta, welcome aboard and to the world of 370z. Not seeing too many silver 370z around in the UK at the moment so its a breath of fresh air. Cool video, great to see 370z doing what it does best!!
