I am not sure how much due diligence you expect of one buying a car, but I did much more than most car buyers do. I had not read every page of this forum, no. Yes, I thought being a Nissan, I would benefit from "Japanese auto reliability" which was a critical mistake. Most other cars in this category are much more reliable whether they be of European or US origin.

Angry no. Disappointed in the way the forum membership is administrated? Yes, to a degree. The forum owners can administrate the forum anyway they please, obviously. They have no obligation to their members, or their advertisers and sponsors, I suppose.

It sounds like you have never joined another forum if a 6 month approval lag seems normal to you.

New 370z owners have the same issues. Nissan has done little to fix obvious issues with the vehicle.

No, I am not mad at the car. It is inanimate, so that would be silly. I am mad at myself. When I said I was mad at the car, that was metaphorically speaking, obviously (at least to readers of rudimentary intelligence).

The z cars are pieces of s*** due to major design flaws that the manufacturer refuses to address resulting in sub-par reliability and inordinate cost of ownership, especially for a Japanese car.

Do you need me to swoon over your car to get your knickers out of a knot? Are you so insecure that you cannot handle anyone belittling "your baby?"

I did compliment the HVAC and I could come up with other compliments if that would make you feel better, sweetie. Should I go on?

No, I'd prefer not, but I doubt you have any concern about my wishes, so I am sure you'll continue to blather on for several more posts. That's what those of your ilk usually do.

I am not a member of facebook, thank you. When it comes to what you think, frankly, Ms Daizy, I don't give a damn.

That said, feel free to see if you can convince the mods to ban me, since you seem to consider yourself the arbiter of forum worthiness.

The Miata is likely a much more reliable car, unfortunately, it did not meet my other requirements, not that I place any value on anything that you have to say.

I've got a guy in San Diego that you should go see. My top now runs as smooth as butter, given the design. It's quieter and smother than the new one's at this point.

I will PM you after I dig up his contact beta.

I too, have always been a z-Car fan. My sister had a super cool 280 back in the early eighties. Custom metallic copper paint, with Centerline wheels and a sunroof. What a cool car!

Law of holes
The first law of holes, or the law of holes, is an adage which states: "if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging".[1][2] Digging a hole makes it deeper and therefore harder to get out of, which is used as a metaphor that when in an untenable position, it is best to stop carrying on and exacerbating the situation.

Looks like advice you would be well advised to heed. If you choose to pull your head out of your hole, you may wish to peruse the Silver Rule as well.

I have a questions. When you started having to lift the clutch pedal back up did you check the fluid level in the clutch Master Cylinder? If you ran it dry the Clutch Master Cylinder is toast. Have it replaced. You can get one at that dealer.

Yeah, I know, but I needed to have a bit of a rant. That said, I know it's a not great way to introduce myself. It was an ironic that the mod approved me on my darkest day with this car.

I wasn't really looking for help, it was apparent that I was already screwed and I wanted to bitch.

Most were sympathetic. One is an *******. I am glad to know as much.

I'll bite back if personally attacked, so I did.

No, I checked the fluid immediately. It was right at the full line.

I brought it to RPM Autoworx who attempted to bleed it disabling the clutch completely.

On the advice of Joe, I had RPM the master cylinder replaced for $600. Miraculously, the clutch is working again, for now.

Sorry about the frustration with the car.

My father picked up a used Mini Cooper last year and it wasn't until after the automatic transmission took a nosedive did he look online and see that this could be a potential issue and he should have stayed away from that year. Some DIY transmission replacement and its been traded in for his first truck - 2021 Tacoma.

Point being is that it happens. Always sucks and it is never fun to spend money to fix and lose money to get rid of the problem.

When they are working properly (I know, not what you want to hear), the Z can be a fun sports car.
