traded in (yes, traded in) my Ferrari for a new Nissan 370Z
Well, I just traded in (yes, traded in) my Ferrari 308 GTS QV for a new Nissan 370Z. Take delivery next Wednesday.
Test drove one last week and was very impressed. I just wanted to say hello to all at the 370Z forum. PS Needless to say, I've been blacklisted by some of the guys over at FerrariChat.com for defecting! So, hopefully the 370Z forum will be a bit friendlier! LOL |
pics or it didn't happen! :stirthepot:
lol, welcome to the trainwreck! :hello: |

1983 308 GTS QV Euro version
It has about the most beautiful sounding exhaust I've ever heard from a car. Different than the US spec version. I will miss that. But, I imagine the Z has potential for a sweet sound as well. I'm a newbie to the 370Z, so I don't really know. My buddies father did do the US advertising campaign for the original 240Z. Got one of the first ones (silver) as a part of the deal, and kept it in his garage for years. I LOVED that car. |

this is a qoute from yet another douche over there, talking about the 370z...
bunch of f-n snobs if you ask me, sorry we cant all be millionaires like they are  mass-produced, run-of-the-mill sports car |

Did you read how I got badmouthed for defecting to a Japanese car? Truth is, I know the Ferrari is 25 years old now, but the 370Z just is faster, handles better, and is probably more dependable than the Fcar AND looks so sweet!. A car I can just get in, and enjoy driving. Not worrying about how many miles I'm putting on the car, or as worried about parking in lots (door dings auuughhhhh!!! ) |
ya, to hell with them rich :shakes head:
hang with us and your sure to get your daily dose of laughter :tiphat: |

yeah that sucks that they're douches, but at least we're just assholes :rofl2: |

I did :( |
Not overly shocked at them talking down about the Z, but I am shocked at how many are talking about resale value and such. Who cares, you own a Ferrari? Even when I bought my Z resale value was low on the list, I spent ten minutes looking at the resale value of the 350z over the years and even then it was not something in my final thought process for choosing the car.
|
i love how elitist that ferrari forum is.
I'm sorry, but it just seems like they drive cars for the "HEY LOOK I HAVE SHITTONS OF MONEY AND HAVE KEWL WHEELS" with their talk of "oh look at the resale value of the 370z in 4 years LOL" Apparently it's a lost passion to drive a car for the sake of truly DRIVING. I didn't even think about the resale value. I'm planning to keep this car as for the long run. It's my lil' project, and it's gonna stay that way! |

well except for those with Sirenomelia |
never considered resale one time before buying my Z. if i were buying a civic-type car then i would, but this ain't no civic! ye-haw!

Ya, some of them have the typical ***-hole response, but some of them appear to be nice people that can think logically.
I recall one saying it makes sense to upgrade to a faster, better handling car that you can daily drive without worrying about miles. To me, even if I had enough money to have an Enzo, i'd want something I could drive and enjoy daily. It's all about experience, and it appears at least a few of those owners are "enthusiasts" that feel the same. Pretty easy to pick out the guys I wouldn't care to meet though  |
Well, let's just say, I'm glad to be amoungst some new enthusiasts (370Z Forum) that, at least probably wash there own cars. There are a number of prima donnas on the Ferrari site sad to say.

lol no thread is complete without JLP!
