Speaking of which, where's the best source for aftermarket upgrades for the 370Z? Rear Spoiler, maybe wheels

phelan 12-17-2009 01:51 PM

awwww no synchro-rev?

well FWIW welcome to the forums :hello:

for aftermarket stuff, just look around for the vendors on the site, they're (for the most part) good. not many spoilers out aside from S-Tune knockoffs. what wheels you lookin' for?

some of you know what i mean lol

Chupacabra 12-17-2009 01:54 PM

Welcome dude....

ill be honest I cried a little when i heard the story... but I can see what a pain it can be to have a car you cannot 'really' enjoy to the fullest.

I had a friend do something similar he had a 328 and tried to sell it to me for 14k, i could not afford it then, and he ended up trading it for an elise. and he never regretted it. and neither will you.

as you say.. you've owned a ferrari. bastard.

kdo2milger 12-17-2009 01:54 PM

you looking for a stock rear spoiler or after market?

no, I did not get the synchro rev. Kind of scares me a bit. Like the Lexus accelerator sticking. Just something else to go wrong???? I don't know. I'm an old guy, so heal/toe is just the norm.

ricky bobby 12-17-2009 02:07 PM

WOW! i always wanted one of those 308s. Welcome there is a lot of info here plus there arent any beatoffs here that i've come across like that other place(ferrarichat) you came from.:tup:

Congrats on picking up the new Z. It always nice to see another car enthusiast come on board! From what you say, I'm sure it'll meet all your expectations.

blue660r01 12-17-2009 06:29 PM

so if this ferrari is yours why is there fine print at the bottom right of that picture as if it belongs to somewhere else

It has about the most beautiful sounding exhaust I've ever heard from a car. Different than the US spec version. I will miss that.

But, I imagine the Z has potential for a sweet sound as well. I'm a newbie to the 370Z, so I don't really know.

My buddies father did do the US advertising campaign for the original 240Z. Got one of the first ones (silver) as a part of the deal, and kept it in his garage for years. I LOVED that car.

Holy hell that's older than ME!!!:icon14:

if i may ask, how much is a trade in like that worth?

I'm sorry, but it just seems like they drive cars for the "HEY LOOK I HAVE SHITTONS OF MONEY AND HAVE KEWL WHEELS" with their talk of "oh look at the resale value of the 370z in 4 years LOL"

Apparently it's a lost passion to drive a car for the sake of truly DRIVING.

I didn't even think about the resale value. I'm planning to keep this car as for the long run. It's my lil' project, and it's gonna stay that way!

Welcome Rich! It may not have the heritage of the Ferrari, but like you mentioned, its a lot better car than an 83.

Test drove one last week and was very impressed.

I just wanted to say hello to all at the 370Z forum.

PS Needless to say, I've been blacklisted by some of the guys over at FerrariChat.com for defecting! So, hopefully the 370Z forum will be a bit friendlier! LOL

Cool! You are going to love being in a fast car. :icon17:

No sport? Why? Why? Best $$$$ you'll ever spend. Unless it's a money thing and you've correctly come to the realization that those 308s don't get much resale value these days.

* SynchroRev Match™ (manual transmission)
* Viscous limited-slip differential (VLSD)
* 19" x 9.0" (front) and 19" x 10.0" (rear) 5-spoke RAYS® super-lightweight forged alloy wheels
* 245/40WR19 (front) and 275/35WR19 (rear) Bridgestone® Potenza® high-performance tires

Screw the aero, but the Brakes, SRM, and VLSD are worth it. The Wheels are a bonus. If you plan on a BBK and a Cusco LSD or somethin then it's all gravy.

anyone driven the 370z in the snow? I was wondering how it would do. I realize that's there's not much clearance, so I asking about, plowed roads, not driving through 12" of fresh powder.

Anyone with any experience with this?

For example, I had my 944 in Canada in the winter, and everyone up there was surprised that I was to be driving such a car in the snow. Truth is, it was great in the snow, with my "Conti" all season tires on it. (it has almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution, just like the Z)

I was out in a blizzard with it, and happened upon a friend. He said "You must have balls the size of church bells driving in this weather, Hey?" I thought that was pretty funny.

Anyhow, just curious about the Z

Its sad to see those guys having such poor attitudes. Being a fellow owner, I would never act to one of our own like that.
