Just Bought a new Z!
Just got back from the dealership not too long ago with a brand new Pearl White 370z Sport. This color is probably one of the nicest colors I've ever seen in person. It brings out the Z's rear shape/fender flares so well.
A quick intro about me...I got into cars ever since playing Need for Speed Underground as a little kid. My favorite car as a young school kid was the Evo VIII, and as I got older the Evo 9, and then the Evo 10. I loved Evo's and was sure it would be my first expensive car purchase once I was old enough and had the money. Fast forward a bit and the Evo is discontinued....I also realized that I actually do care a little bit about the interior/quality of a car. As good of a car as the Evo is it just has too many cheap parts in the areas where I'll be spending the most amount of my time in. Thus started my hunt for a different sports car. The BRZ/86 was a no go due to the cheap interior and popularity of them where I live. The Mustang is a good car but I was never really into muscle cars AND I see about 5 Mustangs in my 25 minute drive to work each day....same goes for the Camaro. The STI would have been perfect had they put the WRX's new FA20t engine inside it instead of keeping the ancient EJ motor. I thought about waiting for the new Supra/S2000 but knew they'd be too expensive and didn't want to wait. The last car I gave a chance was the Civic Type R and I'll be honest I really like what they've done with it. It does look way too "boy racer" but I think that's part of the appeal and performance wise it doesn't disappoint. Why did I choose the Z? It simply didn't have any glaring issues. It's not the fastest nor the best handling out of all the cars mentioned above but it still does all of those things well. Oh and its looks are staggering. Sorry for the long rant but I'm honored to be a part of this community and look forward to learning a lot. Last edited by goeagles11; 06-24-2017 at 09:12 PM. |

Congrats, dude! Car looks amazing. I kind of enjoyed reading your "rant" haha always curious to know why people make their decisions.
If nismo doesn't do it for you, then sport is definitely the way to go. Have fun! |

Thank you! I appreciate it. I love everything about the Nismo and am actually thinking about purchasing the Nismo OEM front bumper and installing it in the future. The nismo front is just so nice looking and aggressive.

I bought my baby 2017 base manual 370Z couple months ago. I never drove stick before, so still trying to learn it. I keep upgrade and modify my Z maybe once or twice a month, adds small parts here and there, spent a lot on modifications already. Btw, my baby also pearl white. Congratulations on your purchase, I went though same car selection process and finally decided on 370Z.

@goeagles11
Congratulations! nice car and nice "process". If you like the Z, you just like the Z. The Evo X was on my list also, but the "premium" MR modell (with AT DCT) was hard to get and seems to have major issues. The manual was 5 speed only. :S @agent_kuma Nice job! Did you get the Nismo parts directly from Nissan? I had the steering wheel, engine cover and bar in my mind as well. |
