"NEW" 2014 Nismo 387 Miles

1 Attachment(s)
Not a typo... 387 miles! It's not in my driveway yet, but I've paid for it, and sent in all the paper work. Car is in IL, I'm in NC, so it was a remote purchase. In fact, it almost didn't happen, several times! This is a picture they sent me of the car sitting in their showroom. It was a "Manufacturer Car" owned by Nissan, then the dealer that I bought it from. I'll be the first personal owner. I hope it's as nice as I think it should be. I was torn between going after a '14 Nismo, or a '15/'16 Nismo, because the prices aren't that different. Love the new Nismo seats, and Front Bumper, but the '14s just looks better, overall, to me. Still might consider the front bumper, unless this one grows on me, which it might. Anyway, my 2003 350z has rod knock for the 2nd time, so at 152K miles, it's time to let it go.... somehow. Also own a 60th Anniversary Lotus Elise and '93 MR2 Turbo (project car) The 370z will be my new daily driver.

There are plenty out there... I have a spreadsheet of most of them. One in particular has a Stillen SC for $35K (4100 miles). I passed on it earlier when it was $39.5K and wasn't getting good vibes from owner.

It was listed at $31,890, but unlike MOST folks/places selling cars, the price only goes UP from there! You couldn't get it for that if you offered them what they were asking. It ended up costing $32,074, WITHOUT tax, tag, title, shipping it to me, etc.. They were bending me over even on Tag/Title stuff. Luckily I got them to let me handle all that in my home state when I go to register the car. What I did have to pay were all the nonsense fees. Like VIN Etching, Doc Fee, "Preferred CA" Fee. It was not pleasant. Like I said, I walked a couple times, but eventually came to an agreement (not the first agreement either, there were a few that they just weren't honest about). But whatever, not a bad deal in the end. I'll know for sure once I get the car if it's what it appears to be. I had also ben looking at a 2015 Nismo for $32,xxx with 10K miles. That one disappeared while I was working on this '14.

387 miles!

BTW, It's Nismo #0314. Who wants some Nismo Pi? These cars look great!! The Wheels are the best.

cv129 07-11-2016 06:39 PM

Congrats, nice price, I think $32k ish out the door for a basically new Z is very good. And the 15+ Nismo's are sitting at mid 30's at the cheapest I've seen, and they were gone very quickly.

barncobob 07-12-2016 05:59 AM

nice car, how does the 3 year warranty work out on a 14

old guy 07-12-2016 06:45 AM

The warranty starts at the " in service date " .

I think it should start on the "in service" date, just like any other new car. Not sure why it would not...

Nice car, and definitely a good find if you're holding out for the '14!

MagmaRed370z 07-12-2016 06:58 AM

Very nice! Congrats!!!

KMO-II 07-12-2016 08:28 AM

Super jealous ! Even tho I have a 2014 bought it brand new in 2014, but paid
$8k more... Enjoy the ride !!

Senna-F1 07-12-2016 12:55 PM

Yes, In service was Jan 2014, even though no individual has really ever owned it. So not much left.

Yep. I didn't have them. Car now has 13,000 miles and swift springs.

Z-Girl 12 03-27-2017 09:30 PM

Love it. Nice find and the wheels and the two tone is what sold me on my Nismo. Congrats! And tell them to pull the spacers off, mine definitely had it.

Spoiler 03-28-2017 08:28 PM

Why the rod knock?
