I made the same move 6 months ago ! i had a 2011 5.0 Brembo / premium package for about 2.5 years that i sold to get into the Nismo i'm driving currently . i'll be honest i miss that car from time to time ; the watts link , suspension upgrades changes , bolt ons & a good tune changes that cars character completely , i dialed that car in to handle like it was rails , it was a great experience . :driving:

Lovin the GTR in the background. Congrats and welcome back!!!

I cross shopped the mustang and just wasn't overly impressed. Not including the fact that every one and their brother had one, it just felt mushy and unrefined driving wise. The interior felt like they where stretching to be high class on a budget. I wish I could have given a Shelby a try, but it wouldn't have been even close to my price range and their wasn't one available.

Welcome back brother

thanks man. good to be back...are you talking about the 15+ interior or older years

Good to have you back and back on the light or the dark side or whatever we have been determined as now-a-days haha

Doesn't matter we have cookies

and omg the 5.0's eat gas like no tomorrow. You're lucky to get 4-5 Mpg driving city and 10-11 highway haha. Those cars, you have to have a nice amount for gas each week.

haha it's not that bad , my '11 5.0 with 3.73 gears & boltons/tune avg. 16 to 18 mpg & around 21 mpg on the highway.

eh, there are tons of 370zs everywhere as well & the interiors in our cars are not exactly world class either. from '10 - '14 the interiors on the Mustangs were quite nice & a huge change from the previous generations , especially the premium packaged cars IMO. not to mention how awesome the coyote 302 is !!

Congrats, a good choice.

I recently sold my 370Z, but to my Brother so it stayed in the family. ;)

I finally got my dream car, and stayed with the Nissan family

It was a 2014. The interior was okay, but like I said I felt like it was stretching to be a nicer interior than it really was. I guess the best way I can but it is it felt like when I used to date strippers. They would try really hard to act classy and dress nice, but after a few minutes you could tell they where straight of the trailer park. (disclaimer I am only 1 generation removed from the trailer park and have lived in them myself.)

When I bought my Nismo my interior is exactly what I thought it would be. Barren and what is needed to get the car down the road. Honestly if the GT would have been more race basic and less of a stretch I probably would have like it a little better. On the plus side the Nismo was an easier sell on my wife compared to the Exige I was looking at because while the interior leaves alot of creature comferts to be desired the exige was just a lot of aluminum with racing buckets. I liked it and understood it, but my wife just compared it to the interior in the Esprit I used to have and couldn't wrap her head around the lack of any thing on a 50K car.

Congratulation, looking good.

yes I agree, the interior on the pre 15's is very bland and boring. I don't even know how to describe it, it felt very Nintendo to the 370Z's playstation3. I hated it, the motor saved the car. I cant imagine how pissed the 2010 guys felt buying when the 2011 came out. It may handle well too, but it feels like a boat, floaty, and unconnected with the road. But allot of that can be addressed pretty easily except for the interior. Your stripper analogy is spot on
