Fast Intention question

Am looking into buying the FI, but I was wondering if I buy the 12 or 18 resonators would that reduce the sound coming off the back or just the sound inside the cabin that it's reduce? Thanks guy.

Sound inside the cabin. If you do order your in for a wait. I called today to order one and its a 12 week wait and you have to make a deposit. So I ordered another brand since I am far to impatient to wait. They custom make to order each exhaust.

I suspect thats why they discounted it unless thats the regular price.

Smoke24,

Our resonators produce a smooth exhaust note while reducing added interior noise. Selecting 12" resonators is our middle of the road option in terms of sound level. Selecting 18" resonators is our quietest option, which will reduce the most interior noise as well as produce the smoothest exhaust note. Even though this is the quietest option we offer, it is still a large improvement over the stock exhaust note.

If you have any other questions or would like to order, please do not hesitate to contact me via PM or email at Kevin@FastIntentions.com.

Thank you,

- Kevin

I got the 18's, couldn't be happier.

F.I. has a great exhaust note.

:iagree:

There are a few used ones for sale in the For Sale section.

I still wanted to keep the interior noise to a minimum so I went with the 18" resonators. Sound is sick and so smooth...no regrets!

Do you want more sound inside and/or outside? You need to clarify what you can bear when deciding an exhaust.

FI is a great exhaust and quality build, but for me....the sound was not right. I wanted a setup more raw compared to a kitten.

Get their long tube headers. I did. But now I think my 12" res pipes are too much. Kinda want to make it louder.

Smoke24 01-17-2015 04:55 AM

I want the car to be loud outside not inside.

cooltoy 01-17-2015 09:39 AM

Then you also need to dynomat the whole car.

Have you considered non resonated?

Im with you on this one. My non resonated test pipes just got finished and I have ARK grip, excited and nervous at the same time.

Smoke24 01-17-2015 10:35 AM

Yes I have considered non resonated, my thing is I like the loud of the exhaust but I want to be able to listen to my music when I want to. And I want to be able to hear my wife when she rides with me.

4TthAnnyZ 01-17-2015 10:54 AM

I'd imagine music would still be easy to hear, I can't attest to the wife though. But who are we kidding, no man actually "listens" to their wife.

To add on what Kevin said and touch on what you want...

Personally, I am a big fan of our non resonated X Pipe with stock cats. It is such an exotic sounding exhaust note. Very "Euro" so to speak, however no rasp and very clean. As Kevin stated, the resonators with smoothen out the exhaust note and create depth along with quieting the interior cabin noise. They will "slightly" quiet the overall note down from the outside the car but the main effect is interior.

In terms of having it quiet inside the car and loud outside the car, that is a tall task for this car. As we all know, the noise canceling material lacks from the factory and the high amount of road noise stock is something to frown upon. BTW, it's not much better in the GTR! The 18" resonators are your best bet to keep the interior noise to a minimum and believe me, you will still here that exotic and smooth exhaust note from outside the car.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Thanks.
-Tony
