Fast Intention question

I'd imagine music would still be easy to hear, I can't attest to the wife though. But who are we kidding, no man actually "listens" to their wife.

Seriously though, my 18" resonators and resonated HFC's are still loud and deeply throaty that my GF used to tell me that the pictures at the back of the house would shake when I cranked her up in the morning. However, I could still hear my radio, use my bluetooth, and not get a headache from the drone on long trips... and when I downshift or hit the gas, the sound was/is a deep throaty growl that intimidate the car infront of me, so much so, that some actually pull over to let me pass. .. figure they had to go home and change their underwear afterwards

. I have also been told from other non-Z friends driving behind me on trips that I sound like a Ferrari. .. smooth, silky, growly, no drone, and no rasp... perfection incarnate. .. well worth the price and wait. Heh, I could do a commercial for FI...

Go 18" if it's your everyday drive car less cabin noise below 3500 rpm you will bot lose the full noise effect. I got my FI 12" love it but yes noise cabin is a bit louder "not cool for hands free call lol" but as far as FI all over sound and quality..they are simply the best in my book..

My case, I took my car to the dyno (DynoJet) with just the Stillen Gen 3 CAI and stock exhaust and got 295whp. When I got Fast Intentions non res HFC with 12" res CBE on the same dyno, I got 322whp with Uprev tune.

That's very nice. I'm on the FI waiting list

between April - May time frame. I also have a Stillen G3 CAI on the way next Monday. I went with the FI CBE 18" res and FI non res HFC.

Just out of curiosity how do you like the sound on your setup. Too loud or quiet, any rasp? What WHP did you get before the uprev tune?

For me personally the louder the better, but I'm happy with my set-up. When you floor it you'll hear it trust me, but cruising on highway you barely hear it. In my case I have no tin can rasp, just a nice deep growl. I didn't do a baseline on whp, but like I said, with just the Stillen CAI and stock exhaust without a tune I got 295whp, so I'm guessing my car all stock would have been in the 280-270 high whp.

Went with test pipes and 18" resonators with 100 cell hfc integrated to the Y pipes and it put a smile on my face every time. Amazing sound.
