Problem with this setup is that it sucks in air from under the hood which is hot as hell when the car is being run hard. The Stillen G3's draw air from outside the engine bay which is going to be colder.
This is the main reason most go with the Stillen G3's or someother long tube intake. There's plenty of threads on this exact issue so just do a search. |
The Popchargers will not increase flow any more than a good OEM-form air filter and will draw in more air from under the hood than the factory setup (see gomer_110's and Nick Servin's comments above). If you want to do any good, you've got to get the coolest air you can. Under the hood is not that place.
The post-MAF tubes will give a little gain but not much. For a DD, not enough to make it worth what they cost, IMNSHO. But they do look nice - if that's your style, go for it. |

Someone on the g37 forums dyno'd the popcharger and it lost power across the rpm range. But they look and sound nice...

Yep. Short rams are worse than stock given the underhood heat on these cars. Either move the filter out of the engine bay or stick with drop ins and maf tubes. |
